Out on the Town
Who: Luci and Spairn

Luci had found his room easily enough and returned the laptop to it, refreshed his makeup, made sure his stocking seams were straight, and headed back downstairs to wait.

The initial paranoia had already passed, though it might come back given enough time to think. He wasn't used to this, not at all, but he was willing to roll with it until it got sorted out.

In any case, he was perched in one of the plush chairs in the lobby, leafing through one of the magazines on the table, just catching up, trying to spot any major differences between where he was now and where he'd been when he woke up that morning. So far? It all looked about the same.

Amazingly enough, Spairn had kept to himself after Saint Patty's, and that probably had something to do with that melancholy time of year that came with the spring. He didn't much care for March or April, but soon thereafter everything would go back to normal again. May was a lovely month to behold, and all those following until the very next year.

Miss Luci had said she would be waiting for him in the lobby, and that she was the blonde - which was very specific, he wanted to be sure and thank her for that when they got around to actually meeting. Such a fancy place made him wonder exactly what it was she did for a living. Mayhaps she was a big time executive, or something like it.

That's who he was looking for anyway, as he shouldered his way into the Hotel de Fancypants, eyes as keen as they could be for blonde hair and what he could only guess was a sunny disposition.

"Luci?" He called out over the low mumble of conversation all around and yes, he realized barking out a name and calling attention to oneself probably wasn't the finest way to make first impressions, but he could make up for it. Hopefully.

It was amusing in any case, and as far as Luci was concerned, that was all that mattered. She smiled, unfolding, snagging her hat from the arm of the chair where it had been resting, "Over here."

She was tall, most of it legs, they went all the way, well 'up to heaven and past Avalon' as the saying goes, wearing a vintage style housedress, looking very much the tailored professional woman.

Well, if it weren't for the stockings with seams that went all the way up the backs. Those made her look rather like a naughty librarian.

And how much did Spairn love naughty librarians? A lot. So much. Boyhood fantasies thrived on that sort of fuel, along with the ones involving the cantankerous and grizzled computer teacher back when they were all still running on DOS. He couldn't even recall the man's name right away, but that wasn't all too important.

Oh, and what was this? The lady had a distinct kind of look about her - mostly in the jaw and the block of those slender hips - that made him realize in all manners of surprise that perhaps she was hiding something under that dress. Wait, really? When she came in closer.. yeah, his suspicions were all but unfounded.

Naughtier librarian than he originally thought. A cheshire sort of grin spread over his mouth as he reached out for her hand, dipping his head just so to brush his lips across the back of her knuckles. "Well, is i' yerself?"

And that smile just spread, making a quick sweep to make sure nothing had been left behind, "As well as can be expected, I think, for suddenly finding myself so far from home."

A shrug then, smile still there, still almost coy, "I'm leaving myself in your hopefully capable hands, kindness of strangers, blah blah blah." Another shrug, smile spreading back into place, "So, where are we going? The day's still new and we've likely got the whole city at our disposal."
