Who: Molly Hayes and Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Tivrusky etc.
What: London Adventures!
When: This afternoon
Warnings: For once? Not many.
Molly was in London, although that wasn't even slightly the strangest thing that had happened to her in the past few months, so she wasn't that impressed. Which isn't to say she wasn't interested; as she made her way away from the Portkey (she was guessing it was the Portkey, because she'd heard about similar things and there were only so many ways to instantly transport from North America to Europe) she was struck by how different everything was from Los Angeles.
-Everyone was talking funny.
-There were a lot fewer cell phones.
-The people were a lot more--cakes, pies, donuts!
Molly was suddenly distracted when she walked by a bakery, and she wasn't likely to be undistracted any time soon. She wondered if they would take American money. And if they didn't, how you turned American money into English money. And how much English money it cost for one of those big buns.
As she stared with her nose pressed up against the glass like a Dickensian orphan on the Atkins diet, she gradually became aware of some activity. A person ran through the crowded sidewalks pushing people out of their way, and as Molly didn't have her Immovable Object powers turned on, she was knocked to the ground alongside the speedy weird person. "Hey!" she said as the other (a boy a bit older than she was) climbed to his feet and ran off.
As she stood and dusted herself off, she felt something amiss. After a quick inspection, she shouted, "Hey! You stole my watch! Give it back!" By this point the crowds that he'd parted had closed up again, and anyone else would have been lost. He had the misfortune of running into someone who could follow through a brick wall. Molly followed after, being as gentle as possible while still not taking no for an answer as far as getting the heck out of her way went.
It wasn't too long before she saw him in the distance and followed after, moving as fast as her little body would carry her. Molly almost caught up and she grabbed him by the edge of his hoodie--too tightly, as it happened, because it simply ripped off. The boy kept running, but Molly began to slow as she ran out of juice. She fell into an alleyway and fell asleep.
