"Generally he stays in his own lands, though we're never certain of that. He could be under a disguise, after all," Andivad said with a shake of his head. "He's known to do such trickery." When she pointed out that he'd said he'd nearly risked himself going through those lands, he bowed his head.
"I would have left no stone unturned," he murmured sheepishly. "But it was a mad idea to think I could have gone there. Even with an army behind me, the likelihood of escape was too slim. I know at least three queens who would've had my hide if I slipped into the dim light on account of being foolhardy."
