To her credit, Hill was doing a really, really good job at not freaking out as much as she wanted to. The fact that she had a kid from the future... well. Maybe it said something about her priorities, but the 'kid' part was panicking her a lot more than the 'future' part. She'd never wanted kids. Ever. Kids were messy, and dangerous, and difficult, and she hadn't even been together with Coulson that long. They'd never discussed it and she'd assumed it wouldn't be an issue. Apparently, she'd been wrong.
She spotted him as soon as they walked into the cafe. It was hard not to: the young man looked so much like Phil it was startling. Just another point towards the fact that he was probably telling the truth, which made her stomach twist in knots. Her movements were stiff and controlled as she sat down at the table, not saying a word.
