Who: Agent Hill and Agent Coulson. What: A reunion full of feels. Where: Washington, D.C. When: After Hill shows up on the network. Rating: TBD, but probably PG-13 for language and some awkwardness. Status: Complete!
Maria Hill had seen some crazy things in her life as a SHIELD agent. Norse gods, frozen supersoldiers, cubes of ultimate power, giant green rage monsters, Tony Stark... they all fell into the category of "almost impossible", to the point where she thought she'd never be surprised at anything again.
Then today had happened.
It was strange, but not shocking, that she'd been sucked into an rainbow vortex and dumped into Los Angeles two days after seeing the world saved from aliens and a megalomaniac god by a hodgepodge team of superheroes. And she might've even been okay with all the alternate dimension time-works-differently crap, if it hadn't been for one little detail: Coulson was here. Her friend was alive. Of all the things that had occurred, even as she took a goddamn portkey from Los Angeles to D.C., the fact that she got to see him again was what floored her.
Not that the portkey wasn't disorienting, and rather nauseating. Hill blinked as she looked around and struggled to regain her bearings. She hadn't really thought to ask where in D.C. she'd end up, or how she'd get anywhere once she got there.
