Who: Sam Winchester the New and Mary the Virgin.
What: Coffee!
When: The Friday after Sam's arrival.
Where: Coffee shop in London.
Warnings: Nope!

Mary was out on the patio of the coffee shop that Sam had mentioned. She was a little early, and as such, was reading her book and enjoying the early spring breeze. Every now and then, a little girl of three or four would come and sit down by Mary, and Mary would pull her into her lap, reading to her for a moment or three. It didn't really matter that the girl didn't know the story, she loved sitting with the older lady and Mary loved sitting with the little one.

Her hand on his was not unwelcome, though it was an unfamiliar, unusually comforting thing. He squeezed back and listened intently, nodding with a half-smile of amusement at her teasing. "Mostly I'd figure it's weird remembering ancient times. Having prophetic dreams is one thing; remembering an entire life apart from your own, in such a different time and culture as this one... It'd definitely be something to learn and teach from. And the fact that you remember Jesus. Well. That's something else, too." He didn't want to bring up the fact that, despite his father and brother's stout agnosticism, he had faith. He'd even taken up going to church in his time apart from them. It was comforting.
