Who: John Conner & Medli
What: Getting to know each other.
Where: Quiet park in New Jersey
Warning: Nothing, just getting to know each other.

Medli has eagerly accepted his invitation to go somewhere else. Yes, she may be the one that would plan for the Valoo festivities, plan the fire work celebration with the pyrotechnic members of her tribe, but that didn't mean she liked insane amounts of loud noises. She would, after all, hide in the back of 'her' tree and play a song that she now knew was a prayer song to the Gods.

She kept her arms close to herself before sitting down in the grass on the mount of a hill. "Thank you for asking me away from there. The smell was reaching a horrible level." smiled at him and pulled her knees close to her chest.

They'd purchased a meal for them to eat out here while watching the sun rise. "This place is all forms of unusual to me. So very like my home in many ways, but scary and unusual in many, many others." She kept watch as the very edge light from the rising sun hit the trees on the horizon. "What is your world like?"

John was sort of relieved to be in a quiter setting. He did like parties.. sometimes. But this girl he just met, there was something interesting that kept him curious. Plus it would be easier to talk elsewhere.

"It's mostly normal," John said as he sat down with her. "It's pretty much the same as this world, just no gods or special people. But its future.. not so good, machines end up taking over and fire everywhere.. and then I'm supposed to help fight against it and help humans get their world back to normal again."

"Fighting?" She seemed a bit distraught over it, tucking her feet under the skirt she was wearing. "There was a lot of fighting going on in my world when I left. I hope the young man I met managed to save my people and the world where we live from the evil that rose."

She shook her head. "Sorry, you didn't even ask for me to tell you that." Blushed, opening the basket as a distraction.

"Yeah.. in the future, anyway. Basically a computer gets too smart later all and thinks humans are bad, so it tries to wipe us out. So then I help organize an army and fight back. But.. then it sends robots back so I don't get born, but it fails." He paused as she mentioned a young man she helped.

He laughed than, "No, no, it's alright. He sounds like a cool guy. Sorta like.. a hero, I guess. I think the world needs people like that. So it's okay, you can talk about anything, I don't really mind."

Cringed at what he was saying about computers. It just made her even more wary of using one. She started pulling out the meal, setting everything up so they could eat without bugs getting in the way.

"He is a hero. He led me to my temple, with only a few bumps from the evil that has taken over our world." She sighed. "I hope he can save Hyrule.." She looked off into the sunset, biting her lip.

She was worried, how would Link be able to do it, when she was not praying to the gods for his safety and the power to the Triforce. She set her head down, shaking it to break herself from the mood.

She can't keep thinking like that. No sense worrying about what she cannot change. She cannot go back to her world, best to try and make the best of it here.

	John was even more impressed after hearing about her friend. He did sound like a real hero. "Well, there's always hope. So long as he's there fighting the good fight." He noticed then that Medli didn't seem very happy. Maybe it was worry about her friend or the past. He picked up one of the food items. "Hey.. are you alright?" (Reply to this)
