Petit had given fairly clear instructions as far as leaving anything with a red tag alone, since those were 'special handling' items, otherwise known as 'cursed crap', of which there was a lot. Some of the curses were fairly benign, as far as curses went, but some of them were pretty nasty.
It wasn't that Arthur didn't like Ariadne, it was mostly just the fact that he was bad with people, even still. There had been a reason, back home, that he wasn't allowed to handle negotiations, and that fact was at the heart of it. He tended to need anvils instead of hints, which was part of why Eames had always been as persistent and as obvious in his flirtations, because even if he didn't actually mean it half the time, Arthur wouldn't have picked up on it otherwise.
It was around midday when he went off to find her, waiting at the top of the stairs for a moment before calling down to her: "Ariadne? You about ready for lunch? Bosslady's ordering in."
