WHO: Gabriel and Lilo
WHAT: Kid watching!
WHERE: Their house in Hawaii
WARNINGS: Probably not.

Things had been refreshingly calm lately, though Gabriel still said the rituals every night to watch over absent family members. He'd done his best at the hospital, and enjoyed the time he had with Lilo. However, things had been kind of calm.

He was calling Lilo right now, hoping she was home to pick up. A coworker of his was in a bind, and he thought he might just be able to help.

	Maria giggled, kicking a little. But when she sat up, she blinked a little. "Tummy growl. Can I have a snack?" "Sure, honey. Let's see what we have." Gabe got up, offering a hand to the girl. He looked over at Lilo, hoping she might talk to Hortensia, just in case. (Reply to this)

	"Everything's fine. I reminded Tensia that she's my baby, and everything's fine as long as one of us is here." Grinning at Gabey, Lilo set Tensia into her pig bed (she'd said she was tired) before moving to the kitchen to make them all sandwiches. (Reply to this)

	Gabe smiled when Lilo came in, followed by Dennis. "Tensia go to sleep?" To Maria he said, "She has her own little bed. Do you have your own bed?" Maria nodded. "Me and my sister have bunks beds. She has the top though." She made a face. "I want it, but Daddy says too little." (Reply to this)

	Lilo smiled, starting in to make PB&Js for all of them. "Well, soon you'll be big enough to switch. Do you want the crusts on your sandwich?" She couldn't help but dance a little as she made food, giving Dennis occasional fingerfuls of peanut butter. (Reply to this)

	"You saw yourself," Gabe said, coming over to look. "She's a good dog." Hesitantly, Maria nodded. "Okay." She got down from the chair and carefully came over to Lilo, holding her hand out for some peanut butter. (Reply to this)

	Lilo let the little girl put her hand in the jar, grinning when the girl got her hand good and goopy. "Okay, Maria, just let - " She laughed when Dennis giddily thunk'ed her butt to the floor and started to lick. (Reply to this)

	Gabe couldn't help but start laughing. "Dennis is going to get spoiled!" The dog looked so happy, though, he couldn't tell Maria to stop. "I think you just made a friend for life, Maria." The little girl looked absurdly pleased with herself; her eyes lit up. "Yay!" (Reply to this)

	Looking up at her husband, Lilo sighed. The look on her face said it all - she really wanted a little one. Dennis rolled over to show Maria her tummy, and Lilo beamed (Reply to this)

	Gabe knew it, and he just smiled fondly at her. They'd definitely have to talk about it. He could get used to this. He looked up at the clock, though, and blinked - Maria's father would be here in an hour. Had it gone so fast? He looked over at the little girl. "Maria, are you getting tired? It's kind of late. Maybe you want to take a nap with Dennis?" (Reply to this)

	Lilo laughed when the little girl nodded. She helped Maria wash her hands, and then moved to tuck them both into the playpen. She'd maded it extra comfortable with a little mattress on the bottom and loads of pillows. Soon she heard the little girl snoring, and Lee couldn't help but smooth out her hair. (Reply to this)
