Duncan was making it really hard to be good on her own, and then her parents decided that they were going to go on an impromptu vacation. John stayed at the dorms near Taunton and Angel and Iggy had moved out ages ago. That left Zelda and Eyot alone.

She was sure to put on her footie PJs as she'd promised she would. Maybe if she looked ridiculously adorable he wouldn't want to shag her. Around her neck she wore the necklace he'd given her for Christmas, the one she was never taking off except to shower. She'd hoped that he'd liked the sword that she'd bought for him. It wasn't jewelry, but it was pretty.
He was due to arrive at any moment, and she paced while she popped some popcorn.
