Who: Han and Leia
What: Suspicions and smut
Where: Stockholm
Warning: There bloody well better be.

Leia was beginning to think something was up.

Not that anything was wrong. Actually, that was what was odd. Han had been acting strange for the past month or so. Well, strange for Han. Which was to say, not obsessing over the Falcon. Spending all your time tinkering with a ship that couldn't fly might seem like the strange behavior to most people, but to Han it was as natural as breathing. Leia'd realized a long time ago that she might as well accept it and not try to compete. Han had two women in his heart, and one of them was made of metal and capable of hyperdrive. Usually.

But for the past month?

Han had been around. More than around, he'd been a constant presence, spending time with her, Jaina, Harmony, the kids. He'd not only found out about the local holiday traditions, he'd dressed up as Santa Claus for Jaina's kids. That was a sight Leia wouldn't forget in a hurry. Chewbacca would never have stopped laughing.

As if that wasn't enough, he'd taken her out to dinner almost every night. Without her even asking. Even stayed over at the palace sometimes, though more often than not she went back to the Falcon with him. It was nice to not be the princess for a while.

Something was definitely up. He didn't have the feel of trying to hide something, she knew what Han was like when he had a guilty secret and this wasn't it. But something was, and she was going to find out what.

Han was working on the Falcon, although not on the engine. He was doing his best to scan the system; figure out if there were any traces of possible fuel sources his scanners had picked up.

Those Doctors were apparently able to space travel, so he was hoping to at least find something to go after and try.

This wasn't most of his time lately though. He was doing his best to be an actual father and grandfather, and most importantly, he was trying to do right by Leia. The first months had been almost non-stop work on the Falcon.

But you just shouldn't ignore your wife, even if you hadn't gotten around to marrying her yet. And truth be told, every day Han felt like he was falling in love all over again. Not that he'd tell Luke or Chewie as much.

Leia paused in the cockpit door, a smile quirking her lips. It was hard not to be in here without thinking about a few months ago when they'd first seduced each other (finally!) in the pilot's chair. Of course. How could it have happened any other way?

"Hey there, flyboy," she said, to get his attention. He wasn't doing anything that would be problematic if interrupted, as far as she could see.

"Hey yourself, Princess." Han put down his multitool, standing up and wiping his hands on a cloth before leaning in and giving her a slow kiss.

"Miss me too much to wait for dinner? Not that I mind."

Han's kisses were much too good to resist no matter how many of them she got lately, so Leia took her time about enjoying it. "You never do mind." She smiled at him, though it faded to a more inquisitive look.

"That's what I was wondering. What's going on, Han? You're not spending nearly as much time working on the Falcon as you used to. Don't tell me you're giving up, I won't believe it." She probably wouldn't allow it, either. The Falcon was too important to Han for that. Losing it would half-cripple him.

Han shook his head, pulling her down in his lap in what was rapidly becoming a habitual gesture. She was so small, this fiery princess of his. Sometimes he forgot how fragile she really was.

Probably the blaster she could poke in his ribs any time she wanted.

"Naw. I ain't going to give up on her. But that doesn't mean I'm about to lose time with you or Jaina or the kids either."

Hmm, Han in the pilot's seat and herself cradled in his lap. This was familiar. Never unwelcome, though. "Well, I'm certainly not going to complain about that." Leia grinned up at him and pulled his head down for another kiss, taking her time about it. "It was good of you, dressing up for them for Christmas, you know. They're still talking about it."

"Talking about Santa, you mean," Han mumbled against her throat, already intent on other things. He didn't quite have a one-track mind, but it was awfully hard to concentrate on conversation with a lap full of princess.

"And I want them to have a good childhood, that's all." His fingers traveled under her shirt, teasing the bare skin at her waist.

Leia's breath caught as his mouth found her neck, as his fingers found her stomach. It was strange to her that there'd been a time--not that long ago, even--when she didn't know this feeling, when they hadn't done this. It was second nature now.

But still cherished. She let her hands wander as well, one resting on his shoulder and the other toying with the buttons on his shirt, slowly starting to undo them. "Well, it earned you serious points. Just for the record."

"Wasn't trying to earn points, Princess," Han replied, sitting back and looking at her almost seriously. The way he said her title didn't seem teasing, instead almost reverent. "Just trying to do right by my family."

He was learning as he went, but Han always had felt like he'd been a damn quick study.

Leia smiled at him, then leaned forward to press her mouth to his, nibbling at his lower lip. "You get points all the same." His shirt was half unbuttoned, enough for her to slip a hand in and splay it against his skin. One finger was close enough to idly trace a nipple. "And you've been doing just fine, General. By your family and by me."

Han's eyes closed as a low growl escaped his throat. He had to admit, there was part of him that really liked it when she called him General. Even Captain.

Hell, maybe that's why she didn't balk at Princess so much. But he could philosophize on that later.

With a quick tug, she was firmly in his lap, able to feel just how ready he was for the teasing to stop. "Do I get you in the bargin?"

Leia's breath caught, but she grinned. "You already have me, flyboy. The question is, what are you intending to do about it?"

Hoisting Leia at the same time as he gave her a fierce, rather scoundrel-like kiss, Han decided sometimes it was better to suit action to words.

Walking the increasingly painful steps to the cabin, he couldn't help but to marvel that this woman continued to put up with him. Well, he'd have to give her a few more reasons. Several, if the night played out the way he intended it would.

Han was right, had always been right. She loved him because he was a scoundrel, not despite it, and she loved him more when he demonstrated the fact. Particularly like this. She nipped at his neck and jawline as he carried her back to the cabin, one hand gripping the other side of his neck. It was tempting fate a bit to distract him like that while he was walking, but what was life without a bit of risk?
