WHAT: A next step in training.
WHERE: Rome, Italy.
WARNINGS: Emphatically yes.

Ezio had brought Dani, blindfolded, to one of his favorite places in one of his favorite cities. They were standing on the bridge just outside of the Castel Sant'Angelo in Roma, at about fifty feet off the ground. He was positioning her near the edge, but not at the edge. It was a beautiful day, and one could see for miles. He cleared his throat. "All right, Dani, you may take off the blind-fold, but do not move forward."

	Dani sighed, flexing her fingers as they walked. She bit her lip, sighing once she touched the blindfold. "I'm guessing that you didn't bring me to your bedroom." Slipping the silk from her eyes she looked down - down fifty feet - and shrieked. (Reply to this)

	She closed her eyes, taking deep controlled breaths until she could come to her senses. It only took a few moments, and soon she was nodding at his words. "Yes, yes, sorry. I just ... really hate heights." (Reply to this)

	Inconvenient, but not insurmountable. "It is a fear to be overcome. I think you will triumph." Ezio kept hands on her shoulders, just because. "One of the signature moves of the assassino - or, perhaps, assassina - is the Leap of Faith. This enables us to escape pursuit and to get down to earth very quickly." (Reply to this)

"I know, I've seen it in your game." She swallowed thickly, thinking that it would be a useful skill to have. She imagined Ezio doing it, and then she quickly risked a look. "We're over water. Okay, so if worst comes to worst, I'll probably just end up with a horrible rash from hitting the water." She continued breathing deeply, smiling weakly at him. "Show me how so I can start practicing."

	"If you land wrong." She smiled at him, shaking her head. "No, no, I need to mimic the form with fear, since the fear isn't going away any time soon. I need to get over it." She squeezed his hand before leaning back to watch him. (Reply to this)

	Ezio admired her guts. "All right." He stood at the edge of the bridge, hands out at the back, ready to swing forward to help throw his weight out instead of down. "Ready? I shall perform it once, and then help with your form." (Reply to this)

	She watched him, moving to the edge once he was done. She knew he'd said to wait for him and the'd practice form, but she waited for him to move a bit out of the way. Within seconds, there was a six foot tall brunette streaking toward the water, shrieking "oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck" as she went. (Reply to this)

	Ezio couldn't stop the blasphemy from rolling off his lips as she hit the water loudly - hopefully they would not be taken up by the polizia before they could learn any more. Still, she surfaced, seemingly unharmed. "Not a terrible first try," he told her, "though that was the least stealthy attempt I have perhaps ever witnessed." (Reply to this)

	Dani couldn't help but sock him one when he teased her. She was giggling and adrenaline-flushed, whooping as she took off her shirt and tossed it at him before ducking back under the water. (Reply to this)

	Ezio felt it hit his face, blinking when she dove again. "Pazza," he murmured, trying to swim toward her. "We are in a public canal!" If she got arrested, he would laugh. Worry about her judgment, but laugh. (Reply to this)

	When she surfaced, she threw her pants at him too, which left her in just her bra and knickers. "Mmm, this water's lovely," she purred, on her back. "So, how crap did I do? I know I was, let me know how to get better. Can we go again?" (Reply to this)

	Smiling, she swam a little closer to him, grinning. "I know, I know, the noise is awfully silly of me, I just ... don't like a lot of heights. I'll work on it if I can. Can I go again? Or should we go somewhere else?" She couldn't help leaning in to nibble his neck. (Reply to this)

	"You're no fun," she grinned, wiggling back into her cold, damp clothes. Tossing her damp hair, she sent a spray of water onto him before racing to the jumping off point again. The adrenaline was singing in her veins. It seemed to override her fear, for soon she was standing in the same pose as before. She reminded herself not to jump, just to let herself fall. 	"Oh, I won't, I'm good at avoiding the police," she winked. "Well, except the one time a man in a car hit me on my bike. I was too busy beating the crap out of him to avoid getting pinched."
