WHAT: Something special for the junior chef's boyfriend.
WHERE: Brendann's restaurant.
WARNINGS: Sappiness more than anything, probably.

Annie came into work that evening after talking to Jae-sun, and headed right for Brendann before she started to set up her mise-en-place. Jae-sun had told her he'd show up toward the end of the evening, which gave her a lot of time to brainstorm something special. Also to warn Brendann that her hot boyfriend would be in later and she might be a teeny bit distracted. She figured Brendy would be in his office near the walk-in, and headed down there.

	He was actually in the walk-in; he hated that he had an office at all, and only tended to use it when he was working on inventory. So that was why he literally bumped into Annie with his bottom, giggling. "Sorry, mind my ass!" (Reply to this)

	"I have a Korean boyfriend." Annie smiled, looking down. She probably did look totally smitten, but, well, she kinda was. "Since the whole rash of kidnappings and stuff, he asked me to come stay in Suwon with him. It's a suburb of Seoul. But I told him I had to keep coming to work, and he wanted to come eat here, cause I keep telling him it's good food." (Reply to this)

	"Oh, great!" Annie clapped her hands. "He loves pork. I'll start it off. I'll get my meez together and then cut up the pork belly. Is Vikram here today?" She was referring to the cold-apps man she'd had to cover for the previous day. If she had to do his job too, there probably wouldn't be enough time to do the dish for Jae-sun. (Reply to this)

	"Yup, he's out of the hospital. He just broke his ankle so he'll be fine today." Chef's love lives usually were tumultuous at best, so Brendy was pleased that his favorite cook had found someone supportive. (Reply to this)

	Brendann nodded, moving to help everyone with their mise, working efficiently and carefully. He started working on the sauces for Annie's boyfriend once all of that was done, humming quietly to himself. (Reply to this)

Annie threw herself into her work, getting into the rhythm of the place as she usually did. It was comforting, really, that this place tended to follow the same lines. A couple of dickheads, a couple of slowpokes, and one rare, beautiful, shining customer who tipped $25 for a $10 plate, which meant the servers were in a better mood for a while. She put the cut pork belly down by Brendann's station at one point, figuring he'd call her if he needed her. Jae-sun hadn't gotten here yet, obviously.

Brendy nodded, continuing to expedite with ease, content in the work he was doing. It was good, hard work, and he was lost in it until he saw a server come up to the pass and look nervous.

"Chef, there's a man who says he's here for a miss Annie?"

Brendy nodded, smiling. "Get him a nice table, don't give him a menu, I'll give you food for him. He's comped, too. ANNIE. Start an amuse for your man."

	Mitch was gay, so Annie hollered from the back of the line. "You flirt with him and you will regret it!" with a grin. She went over to where Brendann had been working, immediately starting the pork belly. "Dropped the pork!" she called. (Reply to this)

	Jae-sun had been watching the servers move, watching everyone else enjoying their food. But when he saw his girlfriend, his face broke into a grin, and he stood up to kiss her. The food she was holding looked amazing and smelled better, but he'd rather have her first. (Reply to this)
