Ezio was practicing boxing in the front yard of the house in Bolzano, enjoying the weather. Dani was somewhere upstairs, getting her things together after spending the night. It was a pleasant day overall, after a very pleasant night.

	Dani had put her things into a bag and was brushing her hair as she got ready to go home. But that had been before she heard the scrabbling in the attic. She moved closer to the source of the sound, looking up and cocking her head. "Ezio? Do you have a torch?" (Reply to this)

	"Something's in your attic," she called back. She was already moving to the kitchen to grab the torch, as well as unsheathing her dagger as she moved. Tugging on the rope that dropped the ladder down, she set to climbing, bare feet undeterred by the wood. (Reply to this)

	"We did, but that just takes care of spirits," she tossed back. She was up the stairs before he was in the house, not that it mattered much. As soon as she got into the attic something with claws grabbed her by the shoulders and hurled her out the window. (Reply to this)

With a strangled exclamation, Ezio grabbed his knives from the kitchen and vaulted up the stairs. He'd heard the window and instantly gone silent, stealing his way up the stairs to see if he could get the jump on the stronzo. He could hear Dani cursing, so at least she was alive.

The attic door was open, and Ezio positioned himself until he was directly behind it. As soon as it rattled, something sprang - but Ezio was ready with a blade. He lunged forward with both blades, and he was rewarded with a high-pitched screaming noise. Good - he had wounded it somehow.

	"Bloody fucking cheat," Dani snarled. Her shoulder was most certainly dislocated, but she only showed her pain by gritting her teeth and breathing a bit more loudly. She made her way back to the house and dug through her bag until she found her sawed off. It was loaded, per usual, and she took off the safety as she climbed the stairs. (Reply to this)

	Ezio heard heavy footsteps behind him, but didn't react; he slashed forward again, stretching out to dig a blade deep into flesh of some kind. If he could incapacitate it, Dani might get a shot off, or at worst, he could finish it off well enough. (Reply to this)

As soon as she got into the attic, Dani shut the door behind her. She cocked her head at the creature, smiling. "So you're not a ghost or a spirit. That leaves a few options. Let's weed a few of those out now." She took a flask of holy water from her cleavage, dousing the creature and smirking when it hissed and cowered. "A-ha. Well, you're a demon that got a fair shot at me and didn't kill me, means you're lesser pit, means you're not that impressive. Name yourself."

	The demon or whatever it was hissed and spat at her. "Si non bene facis, peccatum aderit ianuam." Backing away from it, Dani moved to the side of the door, cocking her head as she tried to think of where she'd heard that before. It hit her a moment later, and she leveled the gun. "Scio quid est. And what's better, I know how to kill you." (Reply to this)

Dani narrowed her eyes, snarling. "I banish you, Rabisu, and send you back so that Namshub may judge you." The creature returned her snarl with one of its own. She waited for it to pounce on her before firing the shotgun. There wasn't much kickback - she was used to firing it one handed - and it flew backward. The salt left gaping holes in its chest, and she dropped the empty gun in favor of her flask of holy water.

	Ezio saw it pounce and Dani reacted, but as soon as he saw the thing fly backward, he heard a gurgling sound from its chest. The animal thing hissed at spat at Dani, but it looked like a different manner of spit; it almost looked like a smaller self; it had a mouth and it was snarling. Ezio jumped from hiding, grabbing the appendage and slicing it off with a snarled blasphemy. (Reply to this)

	Dani moved toward the creature, blasting it with holy water and muttering exorcism phrases in Latin. The fucker was technically Sumerian, but was mentioned enough in the Bible where she knew they reacted to it. "Crux sacra sit mihi lux! Nunquam draco sit mihi dux. Vade retro Satana! Nunquam suade mihi vana! Sunt mala quae libas. Ipse venena bibas!" (Reply to this)

	Ezio handled the smaller thing, whatever it was, leaving the larger to Danielle. He stood behind her, ready to try and help if it managed to overpower her. Somehow he doubted it would. (Reply to this)

	She growled low in her throat, taking her knife back out of her boot (she'd sheathed it to go up the stairs earlier) and hacking at the creatures with it. It was made from a melted church cross, so it was particularly good at killing demons and werewolves (the pure silver was a nice boon against ghosts, too). After beheading the large creature, she turned to find the smaller. (Reply to this)

	Holding the flask in her teeth, she used the holy water to stun it before decapitating it with her knife. She twirled the knife, tossing it to the ground so it stuck there, just in case Ezio needed it. She didn't think he would. (Reply to this)

	Dani nodded, smiling toothily. She loved hunting; it gave her a rush like nothing else did. "Just dislocated my shoulder in the fall. I figure you can help me with that, then we can take these boys outside and salt and burn them." (Reply to this)

	She grit her teeth hard but made no sound. Instead, once it was done she rotated her shoulder gingerly to test the range of movement. "I'll ice it later," she murmured. Then she was pressing him against the wall, snogging him as hard as she'd ever dared. (Reply to this)
