Ezio was lying down on his bed, dialing his lady friend. He was going to tease her no matter what, but he just hoped she'd be available. He wanted to show her the newest thing to inhabit his rooms.

He heard a click, and Ezio could only hope. "Ciao, Dani?"

	Dani was in the bath, hair up in a bun, just soaking to relax after a hard day of work. She heard her phone ring and picked it up with her remaining dry hand. "Hello, gorgeous! Did you have magical 'Danielle is naked sense' before today? Because you're doing very well." (Reply to this)

	She blinked, standing up. "Oh, you little - " She hung up the phone, growling a little under her breath as she got dressed. Lady friend? That's what he called her, and he'd better not have another one of her around, and oh, he was in trouble. (Reply to this)

Ezio blinked, realizing that she'd hung up on him. He grimaced, setting the phone on the end table, figuring there wasn't much he could do until she arrived - she'd be too irritated to answer her mobile. Instead, he focused his attention on the scraggly cat sleeping on his chest. She'd been sitting on his stoop when he'd returned home one day, and he'd made the mistake of taking her inside for food. The rest, as they said, was history. Between her personality and her one bitten and frayed ear, well. He liked scrappy women.

Soon he had another scrappy woman in his doorway. Dani had turned the knob to find it unlocked, and she looked as if she'd rushed over. She wasn't wearing makeup, the hair at the base of her neck was damp, as was the rest of her. She'd come over in jeans and a tank top, sans bra, as she'd been in a rush. Even her shoes were a pair of ballet flats she kept in her purse for when she got sick of her heels at work. "Lady friend," she grumbled. "Now."

	Ezio heard her, and the cat had too. She'd jumped off his chest, but stayed nearby, so it was no problem to stick his head out of the bedroom, grinning. "Danielle, I fear you have misinterpreted." Just when he was about to continue, the little cat yowled and walked right out into the main room, coming up to look at the new person. (Reply to this)

	Dani's jaw dropped and she felt both of her hands go to her mouth. "Oh, god, I'm such a twat, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to be jealous and psychotic - oh my goodness, your ear is so cute!" She knelt down to reach her hand out to the cat, smiling at her. "Did you duff up someone in the neighborhood, lovely?" (Reply to this)

	"It is all right, really, it was a joke in poor taste." Ezio chuckled, coming out into the main room behind the cat. He told her the brief story of how the cat got inside. "She was not bleeding or anything when I saw her; the ear appears to be an old injury." (Reply to this)

	"This is a definitely possibility." Ezio grinned, liking that the two ladies were making friends. "I simply saw her sitting there and decided she looked hungry ... though usually I am not taken in by ladies so easily." He teased, sitting down on the edge of the couch. (Reply to this)

Dani couldn't help but grin like a lunatic when he mentioned that. "You know, it's not a totally bad thing. Every woman in the world will melt when someone she fancies tells her that they're a sucker for adorable kittens." She smiled, sprawling out next to him on the sofa when the cat clambored over to claim Ezio's lap. "Even if it means I'm going to have to fight her for lap rights."
