Why: Tony's got a heart problem, there's tests and stuff to be done

Tony'd kept Sophie occupied down in his lab after they'd had their lunch of grilled cheese sandwiches so he could watch her while he tinkered with a part of her upcoming toy. He'd almost gotten the hovering capabilities stablized enough for them to pay Mommy a flying visit. When it got close to time for the appointment, he took them upstairs, bathed and dressed her in a nice little t-shirt and overalls and they were on their way to Kent. Sophie'd been asking where Mommy was during the day, with Tony promising they were going to see her.

When they arrived, he asked to be shown where Remy's office was so that she could take them down to see Cuddy since she wanted to see them both. Didn't take long before he was climbing off an elevator and knocking on an office door with both him and Sophie pressing their faces to the glass in strange silly ways.

Remy had spent most of the day at the hospital, moving her stuff in and getting things set up before she was supposed to have Tony and Sophie come over so they could get all of this stuff done and over with. Sometime during the day, Cuddy had come by to make sure she had gotten settled in, and decided to stick around and help out until they both got there.

When there was a knock, Cuddy looked up at the door and smirked slightly at Remy, "I think those are yours.." she motioned. Remy looked up and laughed. "Yeah.. definitely mine.." she went and opened up the door. "Hey.." she greeted, smiling at Tony and then leaned in and kissed Sophie. "Come in.. Tony.. this is Dr. Cuddy.. Dr. Cuddy, this is Tony Stark... and Sophie.."

Tony smiled. "She's missed you all day."Sophie waved frantically at Remy, "Daddy and me were buildin' today," she informed her mother, much to Tony's dismay. He was so going to get his ass kicked soon.

"Hello, Dr. Cuddy," he said, holding his hand out to shake hers. "Pleasure meeting you. I've heard nothing but good things about you. I'm sure she's been working herself to death today. Being locked up in a house with me makes you want to throw yourself in sick people a lot." He was joking, of course, or maybe not. He may have driven Remy crazy the last few weeks for all he knew.

Remy grinned and reached out to take her daughter from Tony, though her eyebrows lifted up. "Building?" she gave Tony a Look. She couldn't chastise him in front of her. She'd just have to wait. That's probably one of the reasons he brought her. So he couldn't get into trouble while she was around. And she'd keep giving him that look until he got it.

Lisa smiled at Tony and shook his hand, "Pleasure to meet you too. Good things hm? Guess she hasn't worked for me long enough," she teased, making Remy blush faintly. "She has been, but I've been making sure she hasn't stressed herself out.." she waved at Sophie, who waved back at her shyly. "Actually it's the other way around for me, but then that's why I work with House."

She looked between the three of them, "So.. which part of this did you all want to get done first?"

"We've had a pretty length discussion about House. I've spoken to him on occasion in the communication lines, but I think I've heard enough." He let Sophie reach out to Remy and go over into her arms, his hands going immediately into his pockets. "Well, guess we should get the consultation part over. I want to know if you have doctors capable of fixing me."

He looked over at Remy and Sophie, watching as she tugged on the lapels of her mother's labcoat. "I'm not sure how much she's told you about my unique condition, but I can explain all of that if she hasn't. From there, I just need a good doctor if it's possible it can be done."

Cuddy grinned, "You probably wouldn't be surprised how many times I hear that about House every day.. all right then.. well we can do that in here then.." she gestured for them both to sit down, even though it was Remy's office. And she had a table finally big enough to sit all three of them.

Sophie sat in Remy's lap, figuring she could keep her daughter occupied while Tony explained. "I filled her in as much as I knew.. but it's not like we have your record on file. Though I think Dr. Cuddy's started one.."

Cuddy waved a hand, "Sort of.. I mean I have but it's all locked up safe since it's not an actual file yet. At least not until today.. she explained about the pace maker.. and that it's keeping you alive because of the shrapnel right? So what we'd need to do is to be able to take the whole thing out and keep that in place until we can actually take the shrapnel out without damaging your heart, right?"

"It acts as a pacemaker of sorts, but that's not what it is. It creates a magnetic forcefield around the piece of shrapnel so that it doesn't pierce the wall of my heart and kill me. It's lodged about about two inches below the surface, and it's about half as long as pinky," he said, holding it up for comparison. "If you have to take my heart out and keep me alive with a heart-lung machine while you take the shrapnel out, you could do that or maybe even give me a whole new heart for all I care. I'm not certain how long it'd be before it pierced if the device was switched off." He leaned back in the chair, "You two are the doctors, so I'll let the two of you advise me on this. I'm just maintaining my life with this for now."

Tony reached over and let Sophie grab onto his fingers and shake his hand up and down to amuse herself, all the while smiling at his little girl.

Sophie seemed a bit oblivious to all of the stuff they were talking about, she was too busy looking around at all of Mommy's stuff and playing with Tony. Cuddy listened to Tony, nodding her head. "Okay well then the first thing is that we're going to have to get x-rays and take a bunch of tests and all of that. Then we're going to have to find out exactly how long you'll have.. to see if we can do it that way. And then if not, we'll look for other ways to do it, like you said. But first we need to know exactly what we're dealing with.."

Remy just watched and nodded a bit, not hearing anything that didn't make sense to her. "Though.. the magnet.. and the x-ray machine.. we might have to figure out a way around that.." to which Cuddy nodded her head, "Yeah.. we've got a way around it though.. new.. special technology.." probably meaning not from this world. Fun times.

"Oh, you won't have to take X-Rays. I made sure to perform a full body scan at home in my lab. One moment," and he pulled out something a little bigger than an iPhone from his suit jacket pocket. He tapped the screen a few times, bringing up a miniture view of a body scan with his full name in the corner of it. "If you just touch there," and indicated near his chest," it will zoom in on my heart, where the shrapnel is, all of that. It can give you my vitals as of this morning, but that's probably not going to do you any good now. I can have a set of the scans sent to the hospital for you and your staff to go over tomorrow." He handed the device over to Cuddy for her to look through the files at her leisure. "Any other tests, you're free to perform. I haven't done anything but these basic images for you."

Cuddy looked a little impressed. She could use shit like this in the hospital. She reached over and touched the screen and viewed the scan of his heart. She looked at it for a moment, studying it. "That would help.. thank you. We'll look it over and then see what the best way to handle the situation is, and then we can figure out exactly who's going to perform the operation." she took the device so she could look it over. "We'll just need to do the basics, draw blood and all of that like you would if you were having any other operation.."

Remy let Sophie down so she could go run over to Tony, apparently getting tired of sitting still. "I've narrowed it down.. between who I think will be best.. but I guess it's easiest to wait and figure out if we need to do a full transplant. And if we do, that means, well actually waiting for a heart. But we have all the things we're going to need either way I think.."

He hoped up his arms for Sophie so she could crawl up on him, though she thumped her hand against the plate on his chest, making him wince. "Ouch, sweetheart, don't do that. Daddy told you about that." Sophie pouted and then peck kissed Tony, "I sowwy."

"I guess from here there's nowhere to go but to take tests then. Wait, speaking of tests," he turned and looked at Remy. "There had better be a blood test scheduled for you today, too.," cocking an eyebrow.

Cuddy raised an eyebrow at the exchange between Remy and Tony. Remy just kind of nodded her head, "Yeah I know.. uh.. Huntington's.. I'm getting it done.." then Cuddy kind of ah'd a bit and nodded. "All right then those two for both of you and the.. pregnancy test right? Well then I guess.. I can do all of that now if you want me to."

Remy nodded and stood up, "Yeah let's go get it done.. guess down to the clinic?" to which Cuddy nodded and got up as well. "Right.. all right.. besides Sophie will have more fun down there. We have lolipops and stuff for the kids.."

"Good to hear," he said, directing that at Remy. He'd worried about that test, not the pregnancy one because he was thrilled about that. He took the device back from Cuddy and turned it off, tucking it in his pocket and gathered Sophie up in his arms. He stood up and hoisted her up on his hip. "Lead the way, Dr. Cuddy."

When they headed out of the office down to the clinic, he took a moment to grab a quick kiss from Remy. "Good day at work?"

As Cuddy lead the way out of her office and down to the clinic, she gave them some space to bond or whatever it was they were doing. She knew better then most when people needed time to themselves. Remy smiled at Tony and kissed him back affectionately. "Yeah.. well I mean I just moved everything in.. it's not like I've actually done anything. But it's all set up and ready to go.."

She gave Sophie a little pat and followed Cuddy down the elevator to the clinic and inside one of the rooms. Inside there were stuff for Sophie to play with too, toys in the corner. Cuddy went to go get what they needed, coming back with needles and all sorts of things. She smirked at Remy and held out a needle, "Do you wanna poke him? Wives usually do.. I mean girlfriends.." she smirked.

And Remy blushed and took the needle. "Let her go play and roll up a sleeve honey.."

"Good, good," he nodded, "As long as you're not stressing yourself out." He let Sophie down out of his arms and gave her an encouraging nudge towards the toys. She happily skipped over to the basket in the corner and pulled out something that looked like an electronic hand-held video game. Figured his kid would go straight for the one thing there technologically based.

Tony quirked an eyebrow at the husband remark, which he found funny considering what else he'd been up to today. "Don't go jabbing me several times to vent. Sophie's been fine. We were just...down in the lab, that's all," he said, taking off his jacket and draping it over the exam table. He figured they'd end up doing more than drawing blood, so he went ahead and unbuttoned the dress shirt and took it off, leaving on a white undershirt. This would make it easier to examine his chest and the heart as well. Underneath anyone could see the plate glowing if they were even just passing by, and he figured a couple of onlookers might stop and stare for a moment. Not that he gave a crap.

Remy snorted slightly, "Oh please like I believe you were just down in the lab. You can't fool me. I know what you were doing.." to which Cuddy gave them both an odd look and she turned to her. "He's building Sophie a ... thing like his.. so she can go fly around. She's two.."

Cuddy ah'd slightly, "Well kids are more resilient then you think. Once Mia disappeared in front of me.. I couldn't find her. And they both could fly.. from early on. I couldn't do anything about it. You just kind of learn to live with it." which was supposed to make Remy feel better, but more it was like her siding with Tony. Ah well.

Remy swabbed at Tony's arm and then drew the blood, quickly and efficiently before handing it over so Cuddy could go and get it analyzed. She let Cuddy draw some of her own blood and then went back to examining Tony. She could be entirely professional when she had to, like now. She grabbed her stethoscope and warmed it up before putting it up near the plate. She listened for a moment and then told him to take a deep breath. "There's definitely an irregularity coming from where the shrapnel is. I mean I know it's stuck in place, but it's not helping blood flow.." she looked over at Cuddy.

"It's not some...thing. Her outfit will be remote controlled by mine so it can only recognize my voice commands so she doesn't accidentally run into things or take off at high altitudes without me. I wouldn't let her just fly off without me at her side." He may have been building the kid an iron suit of her own without weapons, but Tony knew what he was creating, and he wouldn't have Sophie in it without being completely sure she would be safe.

"See? I knew there was a reason I came to her for help," he said, glad Cuddy agreed with him. "What...wait. Your kids can fly? Without suits? That's...interesting..ow" he flinched as Remy stuck him. She probably enjoyed that.

Taking deep breaths for her, he sat still as she examined him. "If I remember correctly, it's lodged in my right atrium, close by the aorta."

Remy kind of rolled her eyes, "She doesn't know how to walk, and no offense Dr. Cuddy but your kids are aliens. It's not like they could actually hurt themselves right? I mean they're.. like their dad.. invulnerable or whatever the hell Superman is.."

Cuddy nodded a bit, "Well yeah there's that." she grinned slightly at Tony. "I would try and convince you that listening to your girlfriend is always right or you'll be sleeping on the couch more often then you can know but.. somehow.. I think you already know that.." she came over so she could listen to Tony's heart herself and nodded. "Yeah that's where it is. Even with the magnetic field around it.. that ventricle will close if we don't do something about it."

With all the blood taken, Cuddy excused herself and went to go and put everything through the lab. Remy put the stethoscope on Tony's back and got him to breathe again. "Yeah.. she's right.. I mean we don't know when but it's better to fix that before something happens to it.."

Superman was their father? Well it looked like the women of this hospital had a thing for superheroes. Tony smirked at that, and he wondered if any of the other doctors around were dating or married to any others.

"Not that I don't own a couch as comfortable as any bed in my mansion, but I doubt I'll end up on one. She knows I won't let her get hurt. She just has to trust me," he said, smiling and giving Remy a look.

"You mean before I expire from it. Yeah, I knew it was pretty bad when they had my ass hooked up to a battery in Afghanistan when it happened. I'm not sure how jagged the piece is and if you try and remove it if it's not going to tear a hole in my aorta or the rest of my heart. That's why it's been frozen in place this way. To keep it me from bleeding out." He took another deep breath. "I trust you to do whatever you think is the right thing," he said, looking into her eyes. He wouldn't let anyone else make this decision for him.

Remy just shook her head at Tony, "Uh right. I've seen the shit you do in that suit.. I don't think so.." she let out a breath. "Well that's why we're doing this, right? So that doesn't happen. And we're going to make sure that it doesn't tear anything else. And you're not going to bleed out.." that really scared the shit out of her, but she was a doctor, so she was good at keeping a level head. She nodded at him, "We're gonna fix it.. and you'll be okay.. I promise.. and if not.." she swallowed. "There's some girl around here who can bring people back from the dead.."

At least that's what Cuddy said. Speaking of, she came back a couple of moments later, saying that everything was getting analyzed. Then she shoo'd Remy off so she could go pee in a cup and take the pregnancy test and she could look after Tony. When she was gone, she looked up at Tony, "Actually.. I'm kind of more worried about taking that.. magnetic thing out of you then the actual shrapnel."

"But that's what I do in my suit. It will be different for hers--why am I even pleading my case on this? You're not going to believe me, no matter what I tell you." As much as Remy was afraid of him dying, Tony was the direct opposite of it. He didn't fear death after what had happened to him. That was why he put his life on the line for others. He believed their lives were worth more than his own sometimes. "Resurrecting me? That's a new one. So if I die at any time, you're going to get someone to shock me back to life?" That was convenient.

"Are you worried about disengaging it and removing it? I have blueprints for it, and giving you an easy-to-follow guide shouldn't be a problem since I build it." He pulled off the undershirt so he could show Cuddy the mechanism more closely. "It's fairly complicated in structure, but if it can be put on, it can be taken off. You can touch it, it's not as easy to turn off as I make it out to be. It's just so Sophie doesn't bang on it. Hurts when someone pushes a piece of metal hard against you like that."

"No.. well yes.. I mean that's all practical and probable and obviously you built it right and had it put in there correctly but.. that doesn't mean that when we do take it off and undo it and everything it's not going to give us a whole bunch of problems. A body reacts differently when you're removing something and putting it back in.. have you tried to remove it before?" Cuddy asked him, raising her eyebrow and then went to look at it. "I'm sure it does.." she nodded a bit.

Remy came back in a couple of moments later, after she'd taken the pregnancy test to get tested too. "Actually I meant that Claire chick.." she answered him from before she had left, "She can bring people back to life without shocking them right? Her blood heals people. She heals people by touching them. If all else goes wrong, we can just get her involved.." she looked over at Cuddy. "Why don't you just hire her?"

Cuddy wasn't quite sure what to say about that.

"True, I haven't thought about it from that perspective. I haven't tried to take it off because I don't know what will happen if I do. It's been there for a while. Skin is probably grafted to it by now." He looked between the two of them. "Who is Claire?" expecting a logical answer to this. "So you've got a girl who can just heal me with her blood or touch? But does that mean the shrapnel is going to pop out of my chest and my heart mystically heal or what?"

Sophie, who had been quietly playing the video game, walked over and reached up to Tony, who picked her up and sat her down next to him on the exam table. Climbing all the way up, she got behind him and leaned over his shoulders, draping herself like a monkey, interested in what the adults were talking about now.

"Right, exactly why we have to be careful.." she nodded. "Claire's a girl who.. well like she said, she can heal people. She can't get hurt, her body just kind of heals itself. When I was.. when I got hurt before.. when the other hospital collapsed, I was in the hospital for a while and then she came and healed me and all of my wounds just kind of closed up. And now I'm all fine.." Cuddy nodded a bit.

"We'd still have to take it out, but after that, technically she could come in and repair everything just by touching you.. but.. well I'd have to ask her if she'd come in.. and that's up to you.." she told Tony, watching as Sophie played with the rest of the kids.

Tony wasn't surprised at all that a girl like her existed. Hell, he'd seen weirder shit in his own world. "If she's what you think should be done, then I'm not arguing." He looked at Remy. "Is this girl the best route in getting this thing fixed because if she isn't then we shouldn't waste time on her." He hadn't been joking when he'd said all along that he trusted her decision on his life and what he should do to repair his heart. He then looked at Sophie, who waved at him and blew him a kiss before going back to playing. "Tell me what I should do."

Remy nodded a bit, "Well I think she's the best way for you to get better fast instead of sitting in a hospital. Though I guess if she came in an healed everyone then we wouldn't really need the hospital, hm?" she shrugged some but Cuddy nodded her head. "Yeah she's right. But I'll put in a call for her and have her come and meet you so you can see if it's what you want to do.. but.. for my own personal opinion what I see now.. is that we're going to have to open you up. We'll do that.. remove the shrapnel. And then get her to come in and close everything up right away to guarantee you won't bleed out.."

"Schedule things as soon as you can call her. I'd like to meet this girl who's going to perform this miracle on me." Tony started slipping back on the undershirt and then putting his other shirt back on, butttoning it while talk. "If Remy is capable of doing the surgery, then I want her and anyone else she picks. Her surgical team is her decision on this, because frankly, dying isn't on my agenda this month. Maybe April, but spring is my favorite time of year, so I'd like to stick around for that." He finished pulling the cuffs down and smoothing the wrinkles out of his shirt, "How long before we know the blood test results?" Because her blood work was more important to him than this right now.

Remy blinked a little, "You want me to do the surgery? Really? I... well okay if you want me to. But as long as you're sure.." of course if her hands started to shake she wouldn't be doing anything, but well then they'd just have to postpone it. Well that was a ways off.

Cuddy nodded, "I'll give Claire a call and see if she can come in and meet you sometime soon."

Of course Remy wasn't very amused at his playfulness about dying. "Very funny. You're not leaving me with two kids.." she said, folding her arms over her chest to show that she meant business. Not that she really thought he was thinking about dying.

Cuddy looked at her watch, "Well since they're the only things in the lab at the moment, shouldn't be too much longer. I'll go see.. be right back.." she headed out to go back down to teh lab.

Tony hopped down from the exam table and started tucking the shirt into his pants, "If I died, you wouldn't have a thing to worry about," he said. Not that she had anything to worry about now, but Tony did plan for a lot of things. "House, cars, money and the kids. You'd be okay." Though he wasn't thinking about how it'd affect her emotionally. Tony was kind of a jerk that way sometimes.

He looked down at Remy's hands and took one of them in his. "Thy haven't been trembling today, have they?" he asked, concern clear in his eyes. He hadn't seen her all day and he knew if she'd had trouble she wasn't going to tell him.

Her eyes narrowed, "Oh fuck that Tony, you know I don't give a rats ass about being financially secure and you know it. Two kids shouldn't grow up without a father.." and it didn't seem that Sophie was very happy with their conversation either. Her bottom lip started to wibbling, "Daddy go bye bye?" her eyes filled with tears and Remy sighed.

She picked Sophie up and shook her head, wiping at her tears, "No baby.. Daddy's not going anywhere.. Daddy's just an asshole.. and he's kidding.." she glared at him again. That kid was going to start cussing soon. "I'm fine.. your daughter.. isn't.." she hugged the girl towards her, trying to get her to stop being upset.

"I know you don't care about that, but I care whether my family is on the street or not if something happened to me." Then Sophie started to cry. Fuck, this wasn't boding well. "Yeah, Daddy's just being an asshole. Here, come here," and he held out his arms for her. He was less worried about her cursing and more worried about her tears.

He finally got her to let go of Remy long enough for him to take her. "Shh, shh, Daddy's not going anywhere." But it didn't help much. She still buried her face in his chest, her hand bumping the metal plate briefly. Then she frowned and lifted her head, mad at the thing on his chest. "This thing!" And she hit it as hard as she could with her little fist repeatedly. "It kill Daddy! It hurt Daddy!"

"Ow! Ow! Ow! No, Sophie, that hurts, stop!" and he grabbed her little hand. "No, this helps Daddy. He only needs it for a little while longer. Then it will be all gone."

She hiccupped, tiny tears had already streamed down her face. "Promise?"

"Promise," he said, kissing her on the forehead and hugging her.

"I know you care and I'm not saying that.." she trailed off and sighed. "Just forget it.." she was going to let him clean up the mess since he started it with all of that talking about dying stuff. She didn't want her kid to think that her father was going to die, and she didn't want to believe it herself either. It broke her heart to see her little girl crying. Thankfully Cuddy came back a couple of moments later, and though she looked a little worried, Remy just shook her head and Cuddy decided to go ahead with the news.

"Well you're pregnant.. that's a positive.. and.. well it's not my place with the other stuff.." she handed the lab results over to Remy. "And we're all set up to go ahead with the surgery whenever you two want to do it. We just have to book an OR.. so you two decide when you want to and I'll go do that.."

She left them alone yet again so that they could have privacy. Remy looked at the envelope and sighed. She really really didn't want to open it. She handed it over to Tony. "Go ahead.. I can't do it."

"She's got those brilliant Stark genes growing in her now," Tony beamed proudly as if knocking Remy up was a crowning achievement. "Is it my brother?" Sophie rang out. Tony looked down at her, an eyebrow arched. "Do you have one?" She nodded in response. "I have two! They pick on me because Daddy loves me most." Tony's mouth formed a perfect O shape as he looked past Sophie to Remy and mouthed "what the hell" at her. This might not be Sophie she had in her after all.

Tony took the envelope from Remy with one hand and balanced Sophie in his other arm. He fiddled around until he got the envelope torn open and pulled the letter out with his teeth, dropping the envelope on the floor. He stared at the unfolded piece of paper, blinking for a minute. "You have it." He let out a breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding. "You have Huntington's." It was like he'd known all along with what Sophie had said about the time she'd come from, but the reality still made his eyes redden just a little.

Remy's eyebrows went up, "... you have two brothers? Three kids? Holy christ.." apparently she had given up on trying not to cuss in front of the kid for now. "I'm not surprised.. you're a daddy's girl. So your brothers are older then you?" wow.. "Well not anymore I guess.." she mumbled, shaking her head. This was a little too weird. Kids. She was having a boy and she barely knew it. This whole place made her head hurt.

Of course she sobered up at the news that she had the disease. Which meant she shouldn't be having kids in the first place. "Oh." well she didn't know what else to say. She looked on the ground and nodded. Actually it was her that should be joking about killing herself. She didn't want them to go through what she went through with her mother. "Great.."

Tony balled up the piece of paper in his hand and tossed it in the trashcan. "I'm sure there is someone who can heal you like Claire can heal me. Maybe...maybe there's someone with magical abilities or-or a genius DNA expert or something." He seemed more freaked out than she did.

He whispered something in Sophie's ear and the little girl nodded. "I think Mommy needs a hug right now, and he held out Sophie for Remy to take. Once she had, Tony stuck his hand in his pocket and fished out the PDA and typed a few things on it, then turned it off and put it up without saying a word as to what he'd just done.

She wanted to be dismissive and wave her hand and say she was okay, and just ignore it. What she really wanted was not to know so she could do her job. She just didn't want to second guess herself. Too late for that, she supposed. One of her shoulders shrugged, and then she took Sophie from Tony again since apparently she wanted to hug her. She hugged her daughter back tightly, and Sophie told her not to cry.

"I'm not going to cry.. promise.." she gave a small smile to Sophie. She wondered what Tony was up to, but ignored it. "All right let's get out of here. You should take her home and we can.. figure out when to do the surgery.." she definitely wasn't sure if she was the right person to be cutting open anyone anytime soon but well. That was up to him.

He nodded then ran his hand over the back of Sophie's head. "We've got to go, kiddo. Mommy still has work to do, but she'll be home soon." Tony stood next to her, his hand going to the back of Remy's neck and rubbing, his lips close by her ear. "Are you alright? I mean...dumb question but seriously." He didn't want her to worry too much about it. If anything, Tony would find someone to do something even if it meant buying her a few more years before any of it happened.

Letting Sophie go back over to her dad, she nodded. "Yeah I'll be home in an hour or so. I'm just going to get things settled here then I'll come home. I'm sure Cuddy will be making sure I leave soon anyways.." especially when she told her. She really hoped that she wasn't going to get fired. Ah well. Guess she'd find out sooner or later. To his question, she just kind of shrugged. "No, but I'll deal.." she leaned up and kissed both of them.

"I'll see you both soon all right?" she went to go clean up the room so that they could actually have patients in here next time. Or later on or whenever people were actually allowed inside the hospital. That and they'd left it a mess. Especially since Sophie had been playing with toys.

Tony wasn't very satisfied with that answer at all as he took Sophie into his arms and cradled the little girl. He turned and picked up his coat, then kissed Remy and leaned to let Sophie kiss her in return. "We'll figure something out. Don't worry." He kissed her again and smoothed his hand down her arm to hold her hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "We'll see you at home. We'll even have dinner waiting on you, won't we, Sophie?" He smiled and the little girl smiled back, nodding her head. They both waved goodbye to her and headed out of the exam room.
