Corinth had been withdrawing from his friends. He'd gone out for a drink with Anders a few nights before, but he hadn't stayed long. It had been a little easier to spend time with Dar, since she'd been a dog at the time.
Corinth had volunteered for double-shifts at the hospital, with both his alter-egos. Most of his friends knew that he had two bodies, but as far as the hospital knew, John Corinth and Corey Barnes were two completely different people who both happened to be asking for double-shifts. Corinth was hoping that working 24/7 wouldn't give him time to think too much about anything. Sadly, his brilliant plan wasn't exactly working.
Normally, Corinth left the vessel he wasn't using safely tucked away in a special relic in the closet. With all of the extra hours, though, he hadn't had time. He just left his female body on the couch, planning to take care of it once he'd gotten off his shift. He must have forgotten to lock the door too, he realized when the knob turned without the key. He opened it to see Anders inside. He raised a brow. "Anders? What are you doing?"
