Ah, Rose. There were a lot of things probably better left unsaid about her. Best not to burden his past self with the knowledge that, eventually, there'd be parallel universes and dimensions breaking all because of that one girl.
"Bet she'd love to see the view from up on the mountains. Nice and peaceful up there..." He had so many memories of being up there before he stole the TARDIS and ran. It'd sparked off his love of adventure, in a way. "Or just something like this. Sitting up somewhere, watching the trees blaze in the sun..."
He had been sort of interested in Rose in that sort of way, hadn't he? He could almost swear his memory was getting worse in his old age.
