Eleven had to agree with him there. Losing parts of his past was painful to him. Yes, they still existed out there somewhere, but they weren't here, he couldn't sense them, and it made his hearts heavy to even think of.

"He was a nice enough bloke. Bit prone to dashing feats of heroics," he didn't exactly have to be careful with what he said here, considering how timeywimey everything was to begin with, but it was a hard habit to break. "When he regenerated into me, things were a bit mad, but that's regeneration for you. Radiation always does funny things to us."
