It was taking a lot of effort to not simply explode from excitement. Eleven ran to the other side of the console, locking in better on their destination. Gallifrey. Here. Not dead and gone. Alive.
"I'll set us down somewhere safe. Capitol gardens, maybe," oh, words he thought he'd never get to say again. He was practically bouncing as he moved around the console, hitting a switch that made a little 'ding' and shifted the view on the scanner to just focus on Gallifrey. "Wonder what we got up to in this world. Think we ever left the planet?"
Not that he could imagine life on Gallifrey. He'd never understood how Romana and Leela dealt with it. Stuffy and boring, mostly, but that didn't mean he couldn't miss it when it was gone. Here they were, his people, his home - sure, a little shifted because of the new universe, but did it matter? It was a lot better than empty space.
