It really was getting ridiculous. The amount of time things had been just sitting there without them talking about it. And then Emily made the rather public post... he knew that Padfoot wouldn't be happy about that. He was pretty touchy about his image and that just shouted out, SIRIUS BLACK IS GAY, which wasn't really true at all. He knew where Emily was coming from as well, though and couldn't really blame her for it. So he needed to talk to Padfoot.

He was obviously still uncomfortable with things so it was his job to fix it. If Padfoot decided he didn't want to be part of... well what he and Emily had or he didn't they all needed to be happy and comfortable together. That was the most important thing.

He found Padfoot watching the telly on the coach, luckily alone.

"Hey." He flopped down next to Padfoot.

Sirius Black was not one to process his feelings. He was pretty terrible at handling the situation. He'd done some drinking, had some anonymous sex, and mainly ignored the thought that there might be something unusual going on. But for all of Padfoot's poor coping strategies, he hadn't ever avoided his friend. He could remain utterly clueless but still spend time with Moony and Steve. He was rather good at being clueless.

Padfoot turned away from the television when Moony sat next to him. "Hello," he said brightly. Either he didn't blame Moony for Emily's post, or he was ignoring yet another thing. "How goes?"

Moony shrugged. "I don't know, it's been fine. I'm sorry about Emily." It was best to just start with it. Or he would just talk in circles and never get to the point.

"Oh, that post?" Padfoot shrugged. "That was.." he shook his head. "Interesting." He didn't really know what to say. Yeah, there had been a few awkward conversation early on, but everything had seemed normal lately. The post had come totally out of the blue.

"Well, that did it, for sure." Padfoot wasn't quite sure when or where the awkward was, for Moony. "I thought we'd gotten back to normal after everything. Apparently Steve's been reading too much... What's-it-called.. Fan-fiction?"

Everything was always awkward for Moony. And this whole situation had been more than the normal awkward. Not that things had been bad. Moony blushed a bit. "I. I guess. What's normal for us anyway? I don't know Ste... Emily. Ga. Emily may have been, er." He looked away and stared at his hands, taking a deep breath. "Look. I don't want anyone to be...unhappy here. I love you, not just in the best friends way, but, you know, the other way. I love Emily. And part of my brain can't rationalize that it's okay for me to love both of you. You. You're my best mate. That's more important than the other bit. And I know you're not really comfortable with the whole idea, because of Emily and all of that and that's fine. I don't want you to be uncomfortable and I am and was just fine dropping the whole thing. I just need you to know I guess... offer is still there. And I will never bring the whole thing up again now if that's what you want."

Sirius watched Remus, confused at first and then.. more confused. He held back the urge to interrupt him several times, just letting him get it all out. "I.. um." He had thought that it was all some crazy thing in Emily's brain. That she hadn't been able to get over the idea that Moony and Padfoot had slept together during the moon, and she was trying to create solutions for problems that weren't there.

But Moony loved him in the other way. "Uh. I haven't really been thinking about it." That's not to say he hated the idea. He had just filed it away as a one-time thing.

Moony looked over at him for just a second and back at his hands. "Ah. Right. I should...just. I'll let you think about it. Or not. It's up to you. I'm just going to go... read or something, and you can think, or not thing. Either way, I'll be in my room, here, not leaving or anything."

Sirius really didn't know what to do or think. He felt a little bit blindsided, although it's entirely possible he should have seen this coming. It was a big thing to think about, and Sirius didn't even know where to begin. Did they just start doing things and think later?

He rubbed his head as if that might help. He reached out and caught Moony's hand. "Look, let's just.. go grab some food." Sirius didn't figure things out by sitting in a quiet room and thinking about them.

Moony smiled. It wasn't an awkward smile, but a real one. "Okay. Yeah, food sounds good." Food was good. Good and normal. Keeping the normal things was important and it was just food and everyone had to eat, but it was good that Padfoot wanted to eat with him.

"Good." Padfoot would probably have to force himself not to ignore the tension and act like everything was normal like he had been. He would probably have to figure things out and make a decision one of these days. But right now, he wanted to grab some fish and chips and maybe a beer. And he wanted his friend there, regardless of weird things that might be happening with them. "We'll.. uh. We'll figure all this stuff out. Just.. not by sitting around in the dark sulking about it."

Moony nodded. "Yeah. Sitting in a dark room sulking is more my way to figure things out. I'm not in any rush. I don't want to rush, rushing is bad. Rushing leads to things that might not be what everyone wants and is happy with and we don't want that."
