Who: Han and Leia
What: Reuniting
Where: Kungsträdgården, Stockholm, Sweden
Warnings: Probably not. They swear in space-talk. It's safe for young ears.

Escaping from the Royal Palace had been a doddle for someone with a lifetime's experience at sneaking out from under the eyes of the people who were supposed to be watching her. There were a few alarms and fences to cause trouble, but nothing Leia couldn't handle. Navigating Stockholm was no more difficult, though she was impressed by the crowds. And surprised; it'd been a long while since she'd been anywhere with such an overwhelmingly humanoid population. Were there no other races on this planet at all?

A few people stared at her as though seeing someone familliar, but all apparently dismissed the resemblance as their imagination. Fortunately. She didn't really want to waste time bluffing and pretending to be someone else, she was in too much of a hurry.

Six months. Six months without a word, and he'd been here, wherever here was. Clearly not his fault, given that she'd been taken as abruptly and with as little warning. Her heart clenched when she thought of how pained Luke must be, back home. She had to find a way back, if it was at all possible. Not just for Luke, but for everyone. There was so much work to be done. Peace needed to be built, it didn't just spring up from the ashes of war like the legendary rebirthing firebirds.

Even so, she couldn't help being happy to set all of it aside for now.

Leia stood on the rim of the Fountain of Molin to give herself a bit more height, and wished she'd picked somewhere without quite so many people. She'd never spot Han at this rate.

Han couldn't help but smile, grabbing the hand back, stroking it slightly with his thumb. How often did he have to be the rational one? He's pretty sure that wasn't even in the double digits at this point.

"Couldn't tell you, Princess. I don't know if we have a Plan B. Right now, I want to try and find some fuel for the Falcon. Even if it's not enough for the Hyperdrive, just to get her moving again would be something." He knew it would be a fat chance, but he needed some goal.

"And... er." How do you go from the first declaration of feelings to dealing with your adult child in less than a week? "I guess, we just take it a day at a time. No Hutts, no Empire, no Stormtroopers... knowing us, trouble will find us sooner or later, but for right now, we wait for Luke." He had no doubt the little punk would show up, and Han was sure that Leia had leaned on her brother a lot in the months after he vanished.
