"I really appreciate the help, Charles." Jean smiled, sitting across from him in a worn but very comfortable chair she had picked up in a second hand store before the move. She really didn't have much; she hadn't felt right taking the possessions of the woman she had replaced, so she sold them and donated the proceeds to a shelter in D.C. before heading to London. Still, a few touches here and there made the spartan apartment feel more like home than the highrise she had in Washington.
