Entry tags:soren lebeau, teja wartooth (younger)

Who: Sor LeBeau and Teja Wartooth.
What: Sor is an idiot and Teja is going to help.
When: Tuesday night.
Where: London hospital then Soren's flat.
Warnings: Yes.

Sometimes he didn't know why he did it, but he'd gotten into a fight with someone at a club that was far, far, bigger than him. Granted, he knew he could kick the dude's ass - magic helped like that - but he let him throw him out of the club window anyway. Shards of glass had lined his arms and face, and he'd been immediately shuffled off to a hospital. It didn't bother him, except for the part that he didn't want to go to a hospital. He just wanted to go home, stitch himself up, and go to sleep.

But instead, he'd had to sock an orderly in the face, knocking him out, before knicking some needles and thread and gauze. He was sitting on the curb outside the patient pickup center, sewing a particularly deep cut as he waited for Teja.

Teja pulled up fairly quickly, and opened the passenger door in front of Soren, eying him with judgment and his tone of expression practically WREAKED "You're a fucking idiot," but he didn't say a word.

Honestly, he was used to Soren's self destructive behavior, that seemed universal. How they inflicted it upon themselves, however, seemed to be different from 'verse to 'verse. He lit two cigarettes and handed one over to Soren once he was in the vehicle - a two door luxury car in black - before driving away.

"So. How much do you owe the guy who owned the window?"

Sor looked up and got into the car, thanking Teja for the smoke with a nod of his head. He'd finish up the stitch in a bit - he just had to tie it off. "Eh, someone else threw me out of it. I don't owe a thing, the other guy does." He smirked and leaned back, blowing smoke rings out of the window. He felt much more mellow.

"So why would the cops be coming? If you're the one in the hospital, and he's the one who did the most damage, you wouldn't need to be worried about that at all, unless you have priors in this country, which I doubt you do, since you're fairly new around here," Teja pointed out. He took a long drag of his cigarette and sighed it out - he rarely smoked, but Skwigelves got his nerves up - before driving towards a portkey where they could port to Sor's mother's house.

"At least you're not too pussy to pull glass out of yourself. The other you," Teja scoffed, "has someone call okasan and has her heal him. Scars are worth it, honestly. Shows you that you lived at all. So other than this, what have you been up to?"

"Oh. I hit a nurse." He shrugged and closed his eyes. He could tell that he was driving toward his mother's house, and shook his head. "Can you take me back to my place? And the other me is a pussy." He blew a smoke ring out the window, shrugging a shoulder. "Been out on a date, that was weird. Well. It was and it wasn't a date. Whatever. Looking for a job."

"Gotta give me directions," Teja said, "I haven't been there yet. What kind of work are you looking for? Bouncer shit? The place I'm working needs a bouncer on the weekends, since they do some pretty big events from Thursdays to Sundays. I'll vouch for you if you want to apply." He shrugged. It was a family thing. That, and he knew that if this one didn't have something to do, he would soon find himself pulling stupider stunts than tonight's.

"It's out in Brixton." He gave directions and started in on finishing up his stitches. "Yeah, that would be preferable. Thanks." He didn't go into it, but he did want to at least let Teja know he appreciated the help. "What kinda place is it?"

"Right," he said, swinging onto the next cross street and turning around to head that direction. "Well, it's er... Now don't go spreading this around, but I'm working at Concrete. I probably would have gotten there on my own even without the last name, but well..." Concrete had been known as one of the better, smaller venues for medium-time rock musicians, but it had also been hard as hell to get in to work as anything but the entertainment. "The up side is, you get free access on your days off, the bad news is, I'll kick your ass to keep you in line, if I have to."

"If it's a job, I'll stay in line. It's not like you're my fucking babysitter, Teja. If you're going to start lecturing me, I'll jump out of this car right now, so fucking help me." He sighed and grumbled to himself. On the one hand, he figured he deserved it, but on the other hand, well, fuck Teja.

"Go for it, I'm not stopping your gimp ass," Teja calmly replied, taking another drag of his cigarette. "Or you can stay in here, since we're going to be going right past the place anyway, and the boss took over for me tonight. Unless you think you should pick the glass out of your hair before interviewing to be the hired muscle."

Sor sighed and flipped Teja off before running his fingers through his hair in an effort to find any errant shards of glass. "You're a twat, you know that? Makes me wonder what I ever saw in you."

"Hell if I know. Glad you don't anymore." Teja said with a shake of his head, "Don't get me wrong, you're attractive, but you're not 'let's complicate things with pretty much my dream girl' attractive." He pulled up to the bar and killed the engine. "Don't mention your biological father, I want to see what happens." He was curious to see how far Sor would get just on his personality alone.

He was willing to bet 'not far'.

Well, it wasn't that he didn't anymore, it was that he was aware there was no point in trying anymore. He blinked when he saw they were at the bar and gave Teja a Look. "Seriously? You want me to fucking interview now. Are you fucking high? Take me home, asshole."

"Yes, I want you to interview now. When the fuck else would you want to get a job, when you're all healed up, freshly washed up and looking like a shoe salesman, instead of some guy who just turned down medical attention at a hospital for injuries you got in a bar fight? What are you again? A bouncer? Man up and act like one, douche." Teja didn't sway from his convictions, nor did he blink as he explained his reasoning. In fact, he still hadn't blinked.

"If you think you can't get the job, then I'll gladly drive your stupid ass home, no questions asked, and no more free favors."

"Christ." Sor lightly shocked Teja before getting out of the car and stomping into the club. He came back out ten minutes later with a drink in his hand and a grin on his face. "Okay, I like that guy."

"Ow," deadpanned Teja, although it was the most he could do to keep himself from actually socking Sor in the jaw for that. As he waited, he leaned back to grab his guitar from the area behind the seats, and started practicing. When Sor came back, he gave a smile back. "See, you gotta trust me on some of these things. You got the job?"

"Yeah, I start on Thursday. And I do trust you, I just bitch about it." He smiled a little to himself, leaning back in the seat. "Thanks, man. I need something to do." It wasn't that he needed the money, but he just needed to get his minds off of shit.

"No problem. I figure whatever keeps you out of jail is something decent," Teja said as he slid the guitar back where it was. He started up the car, and got a small smirk. "Now that that's taken care of, we'll get your mutilated idiot half-corpse home. You said you were on a date? How'd that go?" He started back on the highway, hoping Sor would have enough presence of mind to give him directions, or they'd wind up somewhere in Wales before dawn.

"Eh, went to a fetish ball or some crap. Go right here." He motioned for him to turn, giving him directions periodically as he chainsmoked. "I don't know if I liked it." Actually, he did know that he had, but he'd been more upset by the fact he liked it at all. He hated that he was so stupidly submissive and wondered where it had come from. It struck him as weakness.

Teja was attentive with the subtle gestures and other directions Sor gave, and smirked a little, "Fetish ball. Huh, not really what I'd figure you'd be into. Whatever works, though. Kind of a weird thing to do for a first date, but I'm not going to judge. Hell, first date Gaz and I had was me making sure she didn't burn up half of the Alps because of her getting pissed at the world. Pizza and beer. Not exactly the most ideal or most common date." He wasn't exactly curious to know who it was Sor was dating, but he knew that if Sor wanted to talk about it, he would.

"I doubt he'd consider it a date, but whatever." Sor didn't want to talk about it anymore, and he sighed to himself. "You and Gaz seem to go well together. She doesn't seem to be as pissed off as usual." He took another cigarette out of the case, lighting it carefully.

"I honestly can't say I'm feeling very sane lately," Teja admitted, "the way she makes me feel is beyond anything I'm used to. She doesn't treat me like shit, and she hasn't gone for the throat yet, which I suppose is a hell of a lot better than some of my previous girlfriends. I just like spoiling her. And trying to do what's right for her." He turned to briefly look over at Sor, and shook his head, "I'm actually concerned that she might think this is all precursor to me turning into a giant fucking choade like her ex."

"Unless you start ignoring her for some paperwork or some shit, I think you'll be fine. Apparently that other dude jacks off all over manila folders. It's the most depressing fetish ever." Sor wrinkled his nose, but nodded when they started to get closer to his flat. The neighborhood had gotten noticeably rougher.

And it was a neighborhood that Teja could appreciate on a visceral, completely baser level. "He was devoted to his work, that much is true. I won't become like that. It seems extremely depressing, to live as a slave when you're capable of being much, much more." He noticed that there were little gangs of chavs milling around outside gates in various ghetto flats, and silently wondered how many of them he could take out on his own.

"I should probably just drop you off. If I came in, my car would get stripped and sold as parts before I had a chance to choke someone for it." The way Teja spoke, it seemed like he was itching for a reason.

"Yeah, well, apparently there was nothing else in his life. Even though he had a wife and kids. Whatever."

He looked up at his apartment complex, shrugging. "You don't have to come up if you don't want to." He sighed and waited for the car to stop before opening the door. His stitches were already starting to itch.

Teja assessed the situation, and decided that rather than worry about the stuff in his vehicle, he'd just take it with him. He strapped his guitar over one shoulder and leaned his broadsword over the other. He armed the alarm system, and shut the door, strutting up the walkway behind Sor.

"So this is Chez LeBeau now, huh?" He said as he looked around. "Yeah, I can see why you'd like this place. It's a dump."
