WHO: Annie Winchester and Kim Jae-sun
WHAT: Their quasi-date
WHERE: Bond Street tube station to start
WARNINGS: Probably nothing.

Annie had been on her feet for literally eight hours straight, and she was fucking tired. Her hair was frizzed and her makeup was nonexistent at this point, and she was just thinking longingly of a chair and something appallingly alcoholic. She thudded down the stairs into the Bond Street station, each foot feeling leaden, all but zombie-walking down the hall.

She stopped, though, when she heard "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me" wafting through the tunnel. Annie's hands flew over her mouth, and she mouthed oh, shit!, but she couldn't help much at this point. She couldn't very well run away, and she couldn't afford a cab. Hopefully he didn't run in terror when he saw her after a long, trying day; she hadn't looked like shit the last time they met.

He didn't. He was looking at the books on her shelf, examining them with a small smile on his face. "I'm sorry, you seem upset."

"No, I'm cool." He hadn't done it to get into her bedroom, just for her own convenience. "Keep your back turned for a second?" She'd found a red sweater dress that was comfortable, and she wanted to get out of her grimy chef's whites. Thank fuck she'd shaved her legs; maybe he wouldn't have noticed, but she did. She slipped the dress on, adding black flats. "Okay, all set."

"Of course." He turned so his back was to her, covering his eyes and closing them as well. He was a consummate gentleman. He only turned when she said it was all right to do so, and he blinked, grinning at her. "You're - I haven't seen you not in your whites. I - wow."

Annie blushed - hey, at least she matched her clothes now! - and smiled. "Hey, I can make an even better effort when I haven't been on my feet all day." She kind of hoped there would be a second date; she could really dress up and catch his eye. "But yeah, was there somewhere you had in mind to show me?"

He looked embarrassed, scratched the back of his neck and chuckled. "Not in particular. I just wanted to walk around and hold your hand. Is that all right?"

It made her laugh. Honestly, it was kind of refreshing. "I like direct." Annie grinned. "And honestly, Seoul looks gorgeous. It'd be kind of cool to see it." She did have to wonder what his father would be like, if he was this smooth while still being respectful. He might talk a better game than Daddy.

He grinned at her and reached out to hold her hand before taking them back to Seoul. He'd had an idea when she mentioned taking Korean cooking classes. He dropped them outside an English speaking cooking school. "Let's get you signed up."

Annie blinked, looking up at the sign and laughing a little. "Oh! A cooking school?" It wasn't like she didn't have the money to pay for it, and honestly, the idea was exciting. She loved her classes on different food types; so far Spanish was her favourite, but hey, the more she knew how to do, she figured. And it was sweet of him to have remembered her casual comment.

He smiled and squeezed her hand. "I would like to take it with you, if that would be all right? I should learn how to cook more anyway, and my father would be so happy." Uzza liked to eat.

Annie blinked, raising an eyebrow. "I wouldn't mind at all. I'm surprised you don't know how to do it already." Quiet and studious people might not make good chefs, but they were good cooks.

"I'm not much of a cook," he smiled. "I usually just go to the place we just went to. Or my father and I go to a ramen shop he likes in Tokyo." He was a little bit embarrassed, but it was true. He was too easily distracted when he tried to cook.

"Ah. I just wondered; you're good at a lot of things." Annie smiled. "I think it'd be fun. Is this more for home cooks, just learning the recipes, then?" That was actually kind of exciting; that meant she would get the recipes unfiltered, so to speak, and could put her own spin on them. Might be something to perfect for the day where she got to write her own menus.

"Yes, I thought you'd get enough cooking school instruction back in London." He smiled and started to walk inside, glad that she was interested in his idea.

"Agreed." Annie chuckled. She followed him inside.

It didn't take long at all to sign up, and it left Annie feeling both excited and grateful for the opportunity. They left after another half hour or so, and Annie couldn't help herself; when they hit the sidewalk she kissed him on the cheek. "This looks so fun. I'm really excited ... if you couldn't tell I was a huge food nerd already, huh."

He smiled and wrapped his arms loosely around her, pulling her into a hug to hide the fact he was blushing. "I'm excited too! I get to watch you enjoy making food again. It's something I already enjoy."

"I always enjoy making food. This is just a new kind; a new style, on top of it." Annie liked the casual hug. "It sounds stupid, but if I enjoy it, the least I can do is pass it on, you know?"

It probably wasn't the right moment for it, but he couldn't help it. Leaning over slightly, he pressed his lips gently to hers.

Annie didn't process it right away, but when she did, she managed to keep her head. This guy kissed light years better than Keller; softer, but still sure of himself. She smiled when they broke away. "That was unexpected." But definitely not unwelcome.

He met her smile with one of his own. "You always look happy when you talk about your food. I like when you're happy. I'd like for you to be happy like that more often." He stroked her cheek gently, smiling to himself. She made his heart light.

Damn, he was cute. Annie grinned. "Is this a Nephilim thing, that you get so into people?" She wasn't complaining at all, it was just unusual. He cared so much about everything. Maybe she just hadn't met too many passionate people before.

"I don't know! Maybe it is? I should ask my father." His thumb was still stroking her cheek, and he leaned in to kiss her forehead. "Perhaps I'm just into you?"

It amused her that he was respectful and sweet and one smooth motherfucker at the same time. Annie winked. "So that gets me a second date, huh." She kind of wanted to cook for him. He'd shown her the food he was used to; she could get some really sexy tapas dishes together.

She could tell he was a little nervous and it was so fucking cute. Annie grinned. "I will. I think it's high time I get to experience the fun of seducing someone with food."

He blushed a bit at the word seduction, which struck him as funny since that was usually his job. "Well, I look forward to it." He implanted the memory of his phone number in a place where she wouldn't forget it in her mind, smiling to himself.
