Merrill was surprised when Anders pulled her close. She'd expected to kiss him once and then just run away or hide under his table or disappear. But he was kissing her back now, and she wasn't stopping him and what was going on?
Being kissed by a man was different than kissing Hawke. He was bigger, and his arms felt stronger and warm and he was stubbly. "A-anders?" she said, breaking the kiss after what seemed like a very long time. She didn't know what she was supposed to do or say now. She felt as though the room was spinning and the whole world had turned upside down. She needed to go, but part of her hoped he wouldn't let her go. That was probably the part that didn't want to fall over, since she felt so light-headed she was sure she would collapse if he didn't hold her up.
