Bela had been up for a few hours, but now that she'd stopped being sick, bed was still calling. She'd gotten up the stairs, going along the hall and opening the bedroom door.

When she did, she stopped and blinked. Dean was still asleep, flopped on his back, snoring softly. But on his stomach there lay a cat of average size. It was white, with a long tail that had clearly been broken in one or more places, and was purring loud enough for her to hear across the room. The window was open; she guessed it had simply slipped in from the tree nearby.

It was probably a good idea to wake up her husband. "Dean?" Bela murmured, shaking his shoulder gently, hoping he wouldn't spook the cat. "Dean, wake up."

	Dean snorted softly as he woke up, blinking. "Are you okay? Something wrong with the girls?" He went to sat up, but noticed there was pressure on his chest. Looking down, he cocked his head. "You're a cat." (Reply to this)

	"That is in fact a cat." Bela folded her arms, amused. "It looks like it came in through the window. I didn't really want to move it." She edged a little closer. "Are you a boy or girl, little one?" (Reply to this)

	Dean sat up on his elbow, reaching out to scratch its ears. He moved his fingers down its back, scritching gently until he got to the tail. When it raised its tail up, he cocked his head to the side and squinted. "Guessing that's a girl." (Reply to this)

	"I'll take your word for it." Bela couldn't really tell, though she did chuckle when the cat arched into Dean's touch. "You've a knack for that." Bela sat down on the bed, smiling in spite of herself. "I wanted to come up and go back to sleep, and saw her sleeping on you." (Reply to this)

	"I swear, I didn't have some sort of secret plot to get a cat." He chuckled fondly when the cat rolled over onto her side, presenting him with her stomach. he scratched enthusiastically, laughing at her contented noises. (Reply to this)

	"We might be able to keep one. Look at her tail; it's all broken." She wondered if the cat was a stray or had just had a bad run of luck. "She seems sweet." Bela wondered if she was someone's pet. (Reply to this)

	He ran his fingers over her tail to see if it caused her any pain. The cat meowed softly, but didn't seem to be upset by the pressure. "I'm guessing she's had owners before, but she's probably not had one in a while. She's smart enough to come in here, isn't she?" He couldn't help leaning over and kissing the top of her head. 	"Of course. Roxy I doubt will have many issues with her, but she might not like dogs much if she's been on the street for a while." He whistled sharply, smiling when the dog's nails clicked on the hardwood floor as she trotted to her master. (Reply to this)

Bela watched, curious, ready to intervene if something went bad. "She might have some disease," she warned. "We should get her tested for rabies - "

She broke off, though, as the cat jumped onto Roxy's back. For a split second her face got animated, but just as she was ready to yell, Roxy flopped onto her chest and closed her eyes. The cat turned in a couple of circles, and appeared to settle down right on the lab's back. "Well," Bela murmured, "there's something you don't see every day."

	Dean blinked. The cat had moved to start cleaning Roxy's ears, nuzzling closer and purring. "Yeah, I don't even." He grinned at his wife. "I'll call Dani, see if she can go get us a cat carrier, we'll take them both to the doctor asap." (Reply to this)

	She had to laugh. "That's perfect, actually." Even though it was after the Bond girl and it was rather silly. It just seemed to suit the cat. 	"I bloody well hope so." Bela smiled, though it wasn't without a grim bent. "At least it's morning sickness and not 'whenever' sickness this time around. I told Robbie that at least his sisters kept their nausea-inducing to a set time period." He'd made a face at her, she was sure of that, even though it had been through the telephone line. 	"Oh, he laughed at me." She knew how far to push her son; they had an understanding. "Honestly, I'm all right. I'm doing what the doctor said. I'm sure she finds my normality rather dull." 	She understood, or at least understood enough. "Oh, I meant normality in terms of how the pregnancy's going. Apparently it's all like clockwork in there. That kind of normal suits me fine." 	It was; it was Dani pulling into the kitchen, actually, with her tiny one-seater Peel P50. "Hi Daddy, hi Mum. Got you a soft carrier for the kitty. What did you end up naming her?" Dean grinned and called out. "Vesper!" "Bond girl? Mum, you didn't let him - KITTY!" Dani grinned and sat down by the animal after trotting over to her in her heels. (Reply to this)

	That didn't surprise Bela; she knew she'd been the one to name Annorah. She laid a hand on her daughter's shoulder, murmuring under her breath. "How are you, darling?" She'd been worried sick about Danielle, though she hadn't said anything about it. At the time, when Sindre had disappeared, it wouldn't have done much good. (Reply to this)

Bela nodded, just squeezing Danielle's shoulder. She'd learnt, even in such a comparatively short span of time, what worked with her children and what didn't. Danielle was a Winchester through and through - feelings were more inconvenient than anything. Out loud, she said, "Do you think we could just pop into a pet hospital or some such to get Vesper looked at? I don't want to run the risk that she has something." God forbid.
