Tara nodded, gently easing her down to the floor - best she wasn't slowed down, and she'd come back to her straight away - before running to the tree. "Hey! Get away from that tree!"
She didn't know if people here understood dryads or wiccans or anything, but it was worth a shot. She could feel her magic sparking slightly, occasional shimmers of blue over her hands. "Gaia, I invoke thee! Punish these mortals for daring to harm the body of one of your servants..."
It was all smoke and mirrors, really, a disguised spell that just caused a localised disturbance in the weather, but with any luck it'd serve as a good deterrent.
