After Lulu and the boys had left, Gabe turned around back to Lilo at the table. "You. You and I need to talk." He sat down at the chair next to her, a hand resting on her back. "What'd you think of having the little ones around? You okay?" She looked fine, but watching the movie had to have been difficult for her.

Her eyes widened, jaw dropping a little. She was pretty sure that Lulu wouldn't have said that exactly, at least she hoped not. "I want kids with you. But I also still want more time with just you and me. I know, I know, I'm probably rushing things, but ... what if I don't have that much time with you? What if you go?" She sniffled a little, curling her legs to her chest. "I'm a big baby."
