Elizabeth! I'm home! Oh and looked my shirt flew open.

Ohhhh, Mister Darcy!

Make love to me while I keep my cravat on.

Ooooh~

ALL OVER:

Men, turning gay!

Bodices, ripping! (oooh, mister darcy!!!)

It was the best thing ever.

The end.

It was odd, albeit refreshing, to be freed from a job she'd been appointed to in the early '40s. Of course, she'd had to retire and come back once before, to entrust that students were long gone and professors and department heads either dead, suffering from Alzheimer's, in assisted living, or retired and gone far, far away to live out their last days in a beautiful place the likes they had never before seen. Perhaps a morbid way of thinking, certainly, but she didn't age, she never changed, and it would be awkward explaining to a returning student's questions of how the hell she managed to stay in the same as he remembered her, twenty, possibly thirty years earlier.

The great Titanide of bright intellect, of radiance, the one who passed Apollo the Oracle at Delphi...and here she was, millenniums later, a luggage being pulled behind her in the heat of Los Angeles, tossing aside a very battered shoe into the trash and wiping her hands with the cloth wipes she always carried around. Her sunglasses, large and polarized, seemed to be quite popular here, still. Her clothes were fit for a night out with the girls, a short, strapless red dress with impossibly high matching heels that seemed no pain or discomfort for her.

Coming up to the door of the place Tess had given her the address for, she opened it carefully and peeked inside before putting her sunglasses back in their case in her tote, stepping inside and calling, "Hello?"
