What: Elena is finally going over to see him after the whole talking mistletoe stuff.
When: Nowish.
Where: Damon's place.

Elena had taken down her Christmas decorations and put them away, so the mistletoe that had yelled at her to kiss Damon was gone, but the thought of it still was there in her head every time she went to sleep. He had been nothing but the great friend she had known before the mess with Jeremy ever since she arrived -- he had promised to protect her from other vampires, he had vampire-proofed her house, he had told her the truth about when he'd compelled her, he'd taken her on a mini-vacation after she'd eaten the wrong candy...
And he was taking it slow, like she'd asked him to. Mainly because Elena was worried that he might snap if she did or said the wrong thing to hurt him. He loved her, but she hadn't said it back to him yet. How selfish was that?
She frowned as she walked up to Damon's place. It was incredibly selfish. Why Damon thought she was worth anything was beyond Elena. Still, his constant flirting and teasing had worn her down enough that Elena's curiosity got the best of her and she had to see just how naughty Damon's version of the talking mistletoe had been. Or, rather, how naughty Damon himself was.
"Hello? Damon? It's Elena."
