Merlin walked with Nimue from the closest portkey towards Mia's place. He was excited about these 'monster movies' and also about Nimue meeting Mia. He was hoping they would get along well, as they were the only two friends he had.

"Just this way," Merlin said to Nimue, heading up to the door of a very large house.

	"I'll have a tea, please, thanks!" He said smiling then looked around at the two men he wasn't too familiar with. He sort of knew Eli, but didn't know the other. Mia came back with an electric kettle, two coffee mugs and some bags. "Hope this is okay." She wasn't exactly trained in the art of making tea. That was Japanese prostitutes. And maybe English ones.

Nimue felt rather out of place. She smiled and picked up one of the teabags, looking it over before dropping it in a mug. Merlin seemed to be interested in making friends here. It wasn't really high on her priority list, but she would support him. And knowing the right people could be useful..

Merlin was all big smiles, "Hey, and this is Nimue," he said, gesturing, he looked over at Nimue, smiling then gestured over to Eli, "And this is Eli, right? You're Mia's boyfriend?" He was pretty sure he was right, but he could be wrong.

He looked up at Mia as she came in. "I'm sure it's fine, thanks for going to the trouble." He took a mug and a teabag and got the tea ready. He held it, letting it seep.

He liked having friends. He thought it was very important. And making new friends helped when he really missed his old ones.

	"Yup," Mia confirmed the introductions. "And this," she pointed at the screen, "is Mega-Shark versus Giant Octopus. One of the finest pieces of cinema since Return to Raptor Island." She grinned. Mia plopped down, squeezing herself into the spot between Michael and Merlin. She grabbed a bowl of popcorn and leaned back. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

Mia munched on a handful of popcorn before offering the bowl to Michael. "So these guys are giant sea creatures from prehistoric times that just woke up and are pissed." The plot really wasn't the most important thing in these movies, but she didn't want Merlin to feel lost.

Excitedly, Mia nudged Merlin with her elbow. "Ooh, watch this part." Yeah, she had seen this movie more than once. That didn't mean she wouldn't give a whoop when the bigass shark left out of the water and ate a fucking plane! "How cool is that?!"

Nimue's eyes narrowed slightly. Mia was nearly in Merlin's lap, at least, it looked that way to Nimue. Nimue knew that Merlin was trying to get over his memory of her being evil, and he was doing a commendable job. Still, when it came to romantic competition, Nimue was at a significant disadvantage. It made her edgy.

Merlin was concentrating on the screen, gaping at the crappy graphics, which weren't exactly crappy to him, since he wasn't spoiled. He jumped at the good parts and made appropriate shocked and awed noises. "That is insane!"

He looked over at Nimue, "Isn't this insane?" he asked, smiling at her. He notice she didn't really look happy and gave her a concerned look. "You okay?" he asked quietly

"Insane," Nimue repeated, giving him a strained smile. It was somewhat amusing to see how quickly he took to colloquialisms. And it was sweet that he was concerned for her, though that seemed to be more a part of his nature than evidence of a preference.

"I'm fine," Nimue assured him. "Relieved I do not live near water," she said.

Mia laughed, thinking Nimue was making a joke. Nimue, who was not, looked less than thrilled.

	Merlin smiled at Nimue, a little unsure, and not quite believing that she was fine. "It's not real. Just a movie." He didn't like to see her uneasy, it made him feel uneasy. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Nimue nodded to Merlin's explanation, a little embarrassed. She took his hand, squeezing gently. "Please don't worry over me," she told him. "I'm fine. Truly." It was not entirely a falsehood. She was well enough to endure, and while she didn't find the movies terribly entertaining, she enjoyed Merlin's presence, especially when he was happy. She wanted him to have fun.
