Nimue nodded. "And Arthur is a great man because of you." She smiled, believing that much at least was common across both of their worlds.

"Isn't it, though? I imagine I can be quite deceptive when I want to be." She did genuinely care for him, though. She hadn't always, and she had at times been less than honest with Merlyn, but now there was probably something dreadfully true in her eyes now that gave her away.

"I hope we can be friends, Merlin. I spent the better part of two years traveling with your other self, and I would miss your company."
