Who: Sam Ford and Iggy
What: Studying and stuff
Warnings: Eh, nothing. Just fluff and cuteness

This was shaping up to be pretty much the best school year ever. Sure, he was behind and had a lot of catching up to do, but that was nothing unusual for a boy who had been sick since he was seven. The teachers had been pretty accommodating. It wasn't like he was the only student who had forgotten what they learned last year over summer break. One particularly fiery professor had chastised another forgetful student by saying "At least Mr. Ford has an excuse for not remembering!"

Besides, catching up usually meant studying at Iggy's house, and that was never a bad thing. Navi treated him like he was one of her own, and it was cute having Angel follow him around. He'd even managed to help convince the girl to come back to school after some initial anxiety.

And then there was Iggy. They were in almost all of the same classes, and Sam had taken up the mantle of Seeing Eye Human. It was a joking term of endearment, and Sam absolutely loved it. He was still learning the most helpful way of doing things, and Angel had given him a few 'tips'. He liked to think he was doing a pretty good job. Now class was getting out, and he and Iggy were heading back to Iggy's house to study. He bumped lightly into Iggy's arm as they left the school building. "Hey," he said, smiling.

Iggy was only finally getting used to just how loud the school was, he'd managed to forget that over the summer, even with their trip to Disneyland, where he had had more fun than he'd been expecting, even though he'd been well and truly blind for it. Mostly it was the fact that Angel, Navi and Sam were enjoying themselves, he didn't mind sitting most of it out with baby John.

He smiled almost instantly at the shoulder-bump, since it meant that he could stop subtly freaking out, as he was prone to doing even still, "Hey. Getting caught up at my place again?"

Sam grinned. "Yeah, if it's cool." It was pretty much always cool. Sam couldn't think of a time when it hadn't been.

"So, how boring was that lecture?" he asked, once they were far enough from any adults that they didn't have to worry about being spied on. "The whole 'sponge soaking up information' thing is getting old."

"Of course, would have said something before now if it wasn't." He said with a shrug, arm bumping against Sam's again so that he could actually get ahold of the other boy's hand, "Navi's probably already making snacks." There was a crooked little smile at the rest, "It wasn't the most boring lecture I've ever had to sit through, but it was in the top ten."

Holding hands in public was still pretty new for Sam. He liked it, it was just weird. Maybe it was easier for Iggy, since he couldn't see people glancing at them. Maybe he just didn't care. Nobody ever gave them any trouble, though. That surprised Sam a little, but apparently while he was in a coma, he and Iggy had made other students think twice about bullying them or their friends.

"Well, good, because I really like hanging out at your place." He smiled for a moment before putting on a serious face. "Oh, and I have a lot of studying to do, too." Yeah, right.

It was partly that he couldn't see it, and mostly that he couldn't hear the individual whispers over the general background noise. He nodded solemnly at the other boy's statement, "Right, studying. I've got some of that to do to. We should work on that."

He was trying his hardest not to crack a smile, and he was succeeding, for the most part.
