Who: Teja Wartooth and Harmony Johnson.
What: They're sort of related by marriage now, so they're getting acquainted.
When: After this post.
Where: Mordhaus.
Warnings: Swearing and violence all around.

Harmony did as the red haired guy had instructed and portkeyed over to - well, he'd called it a house, but she'd be damned if she'd ever say the same. She whistled low and stuck her hands into the pocket of her leather jacket as she walked toward the door. In her mind, if there were topiaries involved, it wasn't a house.

Blinking when three huge guys dressed as casual dress exocutioners approached her, she raised an eyebrow at them. "I'm expected by a tall redhead, so if you think of touching me, I will fucking feed you your dicks." She folded her arms and glared at them until they led her inside.

Teja was in the main room, just in case she showed up in there, because sometimes keyed in and wound up there for whatever reason. He was pouring a couple beers from the tap at the full bar in the corner when the Gears led the tall woman in. "Hope you like pale ale, because that's what you're getting." He said, setting down the large frosted mug on the bar and giving a subtle gesture to the klokateers that immediately left. "Ignore them, they're excess baggage for right now. Before you ask, no, this isn't my house, but I live here."

"It's beer, right? Then we're square." She grinned at him and went to the bar, taking it in hand and chugging half of it in a go. She rolled her eyes at his statement. "This isn't a house, it's a friggin' castle. Who are those guys, anyway, friends of yours?"

"It's Mordhaus. I call it a 'haus because it's shorter than saying 'The giant fucking dragon castle.' No, they're two useless appendages of a currently many-limbed zombie of a powerhouse that once was. They work for us." His tone was level, even though it was obvious he was a little sore about losing the only reason Mordhaus, the Klokateers, and his job existed.

"If you're pissed, you can vent at me. I'm good for shit like that, it's my job." She sat down on the stool near the bar and put her feet up on the other one. "So, they're you're bitches? Who's us?"

"I'm good," Teja said, fairly dismissively, but then added, "Us would be Dethklok Incorporated, and the band Dethklok, proper. Currently, Dethklok is not here, they all fucked off via Vortex about a month ago, but we're keeping things running, because it's quite possible they'll be back. This is actually not the original; it's based on an existing original from their original reality. In their world, they are somewhere between the 12th and 5th largest economy on the planet, and have their own army, are the leaders of their own sovereign state, own the Gibson Guitar Company, the world's equivalent of Starbucks, have hundreds of thousands of endorsement deals, and sell out shows that are 200 dollars a ticket. Not bad for a metal band." He smirked a little.

"I'm the rhythm guitarist's son."

"The band has a fucking economy? Well, I guess if they have their own economy, stands to reason countries would want to make them happy because them retiring or hiatusing would put the world economy in the shit." She finished her beer and leaned over the bar enough to see if there was anything harder. Finding a bottle of Jack, she returned to her seat and cracked it open. "Well, good to meet you. My parents are kinda boring, really. And I don't have an awesome job, but I like it. But hell, money comes and goes, right?" She held up the bottle in toast before taking a swig.

He nodded and raised his own glass. "That it does. But here, they actually had to work to get that shit. We own Starbucks, have an endorsement with Gibson, as well as Krank Amps, we're our own sovereign state - If you ask anyone, the country of Mordland is synonymous with Baja California - and we have our own army. The guys that escorted you are the last of our recruits. They do shit duties until we get them trained to do anything more than wander around aimlessly." He leaned against the bar and shrugged, taking another drink of his beer. "By the time I was born, Toki was fifty, long since retired because the band destroyed their planet. I just happen to be the weird result of Toki's strange ability to travel through alternate realities and time via a intradimensional bar, and then another shift where I wound up here as a baby. I was raised right here in this Mordhaus." He gave a quick arch of his eyebrows.

"What's it you do?"

"Well, I figured they did. Not saying they didn't work, just saying they worked a job where getting noticed for being great at it actually means a damn. Which is lucky of them. So, you're training to be heir to his throne, or do work in the financial ends?" She grinned and shook her head, trying not to chuckle at the phrase "interdimensional bar".

Taking another swig, she shrugged her shoulders. "High school counselor."

"Neither. I'm the CFO's man friday. I also run the security in this place." He shrugged as well and finished off his beer, before mixing himself a drink. "Brutal. That's got to be its own kind of special hell."

"Oh, well, that's good on you, that takes awesome talent." She shrugged a little and took another drink. "I like it. Not saying it's not hard, but yeah, I love it. It's frustrating most of the time."

"Trying to guide a bunch of teenagers into doing anything sounds like herding cats. Doesn't surprise me, I guess. Teague does a lot of that shit, too. He's everyone's dad around here." He shook the drink up and strained it out, before chugging the cocktail that was the color of his hair right down. It smelled vaguely of hot sauce and cinnamon.

"Not a guidance counselor, just a counselor. I'm the one who calls the cops when I find out someone's getting beat up, I help the ones that are pregnant, I'm the one who talks to kids when they break up or freak out or whatever. I'm like their mom, only less weird and judgmental." She chuckled a bit to herself and wrinkled her nose hard at what Teja was drinking. "That smells like hot buttered ass."

"Nah, Hot Buttered Ass has peach in it. And butter." He wrinkled his nose. "That was Satan's Revenge. Tequila, JD, 'Schlager and Tabasco." He smirked, "Want something? Try me. On top of business school, I took a side course in bartending."

"Ew, that's a drink? Okay, remind me to never say that phrase again. ... but okay, yours sounds way worse. Why would you do that?" She chuckled a bit and tried to think of drinks she liked that weren't common. "Absolute Chainsaw, rocks."

"The fuck were you doing in Tennessee?" Teja joked as he got out the tall glass, poured some ice in, and started pouring. He spun the bottles of Wild Turkey and jager in his palms before pouring them, just to show off a little and then slid the glass under the tap, pouring a lighter ale, and then handed it off, with a nice head of foam. "You'd think something with Absolute in the name would have that vodka in it, but no."

"Road trip, and you are good." She chuckled and took a sip, nodding. "Well, there's vodka in it, but I've always liked Smirnoff better. I'm weird that way, I know." She drummed her fingers a bit on the bar. "So, if the company isn't around, what do you do now? You mentioned wife, what's she like?"

"She's antisocial, she's a professional gamer. An amazing artist, actually," He said, pointing over at a painting she did, hanging on the wall opposite the wall of amplifiers. "And she's a great balance for me. Keeps me in line," He smirked. "Other than that, I'm working on my own shit for now, we're working on recording a new album, my band and myself."

Harmony whistled low, raising an eyebrow at the painting. "Wow, that really is good. All the talented girls are taken, huh." She chuckled a little bit to herself, shaking her head. But the word band perked her up. "Oh, awesome, what sort of music?"

"Sorry, only girls I know are." He shrugged and smiled a little, a bit more modest about his music than he usually would let on. "Well, er, we do a darker, more goth metal thing, heavy metal influences..." He shrugged. "I sing, Gaz does drums, my friend Soren's the guitarist, and Ferb's our bassist. We're teaching Ferb not to fail at metal."

"Well, if you know any that aren't, you know where to send them." She listened to him speak, and took note of his shrug. His entire body language changed, and his shoulders almost slumped. She smiled, looking almost motherly for half a second before she forced herself to stop. This guy wouldn't appreciate it. "It sounds awesome, do you have any stuff I can listen to?"

"Yeah, actually," Teja said, flagging down one of the passing Gears, sending him off on the errand of fetching their first album. "It's really more to pass the time than anything. With all the resources at my fingertips, it was hard not to pick up a guitar, learn how to sing, you know." He smiled when the guy came back only a few moments later, and watched as the hooded man stuck the disc into the player and hit play, and the music started filtering through the speakers that were hung up over the entire large room.

He poured another drink and stayed quiet, mentally checking off the things he'd have to work on for the live shows.

"That makes sense to me. Probably why I picked up drinking and fighting." She shrugged a little to herself, watching him think to himself. Shaking her head, she listened to the music and smiled. "You're good, you know."

"Fighting's my second hobby," He said with a dark smile, which then went a little more soft at her compliment, "Well, thanks. Nothing like Toki, I need a lot more work. Actually, Soren's about Toki's level, but don't tell him I said anything. For a rhythm guitarist, that's fucking impressive." He took a sip of his drink. "Living in the shadow of giants."

"Hm? Oh, fuck, this is the only thing I have any modesty in. I know I'm a fucking god in my own right." Teja said with a shake of his head and a cocky grin. "I just can't imagine myself setting myself in the same pool as my employers and family."
