Annie was home, looking through her first textbook for culinary school. Her parents thought she was crazy and she knew Brend would laugh at her, but she was genuinely excited. She knew some of the basics, but some of it was new to her. Some of it was totally novel. Things were good.

She heard the door open and close, and thinking it was her sister, she yelled, "Go shower, you filthy whore!" It was joking, of course, though Annie unfortunately knew what Dani might have been up to. She'd been awfully happy since Sindre had come back around.
