Where: Hyde Park
When: this afternoon!
Warnings: Inception spoilers probable
It had been a little rougher going in than it usually was, but sometimes that happened, the same as with any experimental process, sometimes it was still being ironed out.
The first thing he did was check to make sure the PASIV device was secure in its case, not that it mattered in a dream, but Arthur was cautious that way. That done he got his bearings, brow furrowing when he realized that this was not the floorplan of the park they'd mapped out, "Dammit, Eames." He muttered under his breath, knowing that only the Forger would have changed the map at the last minute. He cursed softly again when he realized that this wasn't just the wrong floorplan, this was somewhere real. He'd been here before, this was goddamn Hyde park in goddamn London. Something had gone wrong, seriously, badly, wrong.
His first instinct was to check his totem, but he couldn't do that just yet, and besides, he knew it was a dream, and it likely wasn't Ariadne's, since so far as he knew, she'd never been to London, not long enough to be able to create it with this much detail, anyway, which meant that this was Eames' subconscious, or worse, his own. Either way he had to be on-guard for when the projections finally found him. Which meant that he was going to have to stay calm and figure this out. He was the information guy, and the Extractor this time around. Or that was what he was supposed to be, until things had taken a wrong turn while banding in.
No, he was not going to let himself panic. He took a deep breath, letting it out to a six-beat, making himself focus, first thing he had to do was figure out how far the edges of the dream went, from there... well, from there he'd take step two as it came to him, god but he hated improvising.
