She had coffee in her hands, real coffee, not the crap from vending machines, and thinking she'd been spending way too much time lately wandering the halls of a hospital without there being a con in progress somewhere. It was this thought that was going through her head that kept her from paying attention, and had her almost literally running into Eliot as he came out of the stairwell. Expressing apologies, she was about to laugh it off when a few things registered.
This was Eliot. This was an angry Eliot. This was an Eliot who'd just been in a fight, and probably wasn't quite so ready for this as he thought. Putting on a smile - the smile Nate at least recognized, though the rest of the team might not - she slid her arm through his and directed him toward some nearby chairs.
"Eliot... I wasn't paying attention. You look like you've had a productive morning, at least? Coffee?"
Yeah, she wasn't letting him into Sam's room quite yet.
