Sophie hadn't really expected a museum to be her first date with Gar. She didn't picture him as being a museum kind of guy. She'd quickly agreed--it sounded neat, and like it would be a lot of fun to go with Gar. She'd wondered why he picked it, though. At first she thought maybe he pictured her as being all stuffy and high-class artsy. Most people at school thought that, just based on who her mother was. It wasn't a surprising stereotype. But then, as she thought about other places he could have asked her to go, she figured out why he'd picked the museum.
She turned back to look at him, smiling back. "Okay," she agreed, feeling genuinely happy. She'd dressed up a little more than was entirely necessary (at Emmett's insistence.. He had far too much fun playing dress-up with her).
