Petit knew him well enough, and was certainly clever enough to figure out what he meant by it. He'd put aside the previous life of Ben Barker altogether, and is simply and entirely Sweeney Todd, who was done with being a simple tool of vengeance for the petty barber. He was his own self, and he was ready to be in control.
