Her eyes were closed and she was simply enjoying listening to his body. She could hear his heartbeat as loudly as her own, and she smiled, stroking his chest as he inhaled and exhaled. She'd known this would happen as soon as he'd left; she'd been aware that if he ever returned, no matter her life situation, she'd return to him. She was his, just as surely as she was her mother's daughter, and she couldn't - and didn't want to - avoid that. Even if L were to be upset, she'd have to tell him that she was his. It almost made her feel guilty, but not quite.
When he moved away, she had to stop herself from whimpering a little at the loss. "I got your notes." She curled her legs underneath herself, watching him return. "I still have them."
