Sadako felt her heart move into her throat when she saw Sweeney's post, and it didn't move when she told him she'd meet him. She went to find L and her children, only to find them absent. She wrote them a hasty letter and pinned it to the cork board they kept by the fridge, letting them know she was going to London for business.
Slipping into white ballet flats, she exited the house and raced to the portkey, breathing hard and willing her lungs to operate more efficiently. When she felt her feet land on English soil, she ran to the corner pub on Fleet Street, panting slightly. She made sure to gain her composure before entering, smoothing out her hair as she opened the door.
