Who: Guerrero & Sadako
Where: Munchkin Land The Guildhall
When: Saturday, sometime
Warnings: Maybe?

Guerrero had been told to expect a visit from the healer that day, he wasn't too concerned about it, all in all, after all, it wasn't the first job he'd had to pass a physical to keep, wasn't going to be the last either.

But that didn't mean he couldn't get some work done while he was waiting. He was in Petit's office, because he liked her chair and he liked her desk, and she wasn't going to argue, since she hardly ever used the room anyway.

He had his feet propped up on the desk, telephone headset securely in place and a laptop on his knees, typing away and occasionally pausing to eat out of the takeout container on the edge of the desk.

Sadako poked her head around the corner and smiled, clucking her tongue. "That's why your cholesterol is so high, you know." She was barefoot, in a light spring dress of white cotton. Moving to sit in the big chair in front of him, she smiled and swung her feet.

"Uh, yeah?" Was his reply, popping the headset off and leaving it on the edge of the desk, double-checking his work before locking it out as well, arching a brow over his glasses at her, studying her critically for a moment, "You're the healer, right?"

Nodding, she smiled at him. "Of course. Do I look like an assassin?" She stood up to examine the books lining the shelves, cocking her head to read the spines.

He shrugged, "I've met assassins who looked like you, so that's a trick question." Besides, he didn't look like most people's vision of an assassin either, but he was. Not world-class like most of the people in the Guild, not here, anyway, he'd been pretty well up there back home.

"I suppose you could consider me one if you wanted to. I could kill you right now and nobody would ever catch me," she murmured. She wasn't even facing him, but placing a fatal sarcoma in one of his arteries could be done as easily as blinking, and as quickly. "But it's not my primary profession."

"So I heard." He said, sitting back in the chair, feet still propped up on the desk, "Actually, no, what the bosslady said was 'don't piss her off, she'll fuck you up'" He shrugged, "you need me to do anything? Turn my head and cough or whatever?"

Sadako smiled. "Petit is a dear friend, but she's not exaggerating. And no, I've already fixed you up." She pulled out a book, flipping through the pages and sitting back down. "Not too much wrong, but you'll find yourself breathing easier. Allergies are awful this time of year, even for mild cases such as yourself."

"Really?" He asked, brow arching, "Just like that? Huh." He shook his head then, "I'm impressed." A one-shouldered shrug followed, "Allergies were worse when I lived in New York, got a little better when I moved to Frisco."

"And they would have started back again with living here. The swamp holds any number of flowering plants." She managed to hold a conversation while reading, a skill she'd had since childhood.

Guerrero nodded, already having returned to what he'd been working on on the laptop, multitasking was just one of the reasons Petit liked him and let him stay, "Yeah, and then there's the mildew, can't get away from it in someplace that's damp all the time."

"Most people are allergic to molds, yes." She smiled and leaned forward, looking at him. "How do you like it here?" She really did love the world - she wanted to know everything about the new arrivals.

he shrugged, "Not much different from home, different boss, same job, even have most of my same contacts, even though a few of them seem to think I'm dead."

'a few' in this case being 'most of them'

"Oh, well, you're not dead, which works out well for you." She smiled sweetly, hopping up to put her book away.

"Yeah, haven't even had to threaten anybody yet, which kind of takes the fun out of it, but I haven't found all of them yet, still working on that." He said with a shrug. He was telling the truth, so far most of his prior contacts had just gone with it.

"Will you be here at this time every week?" She smiled and leaned forward. "It'll help my schedule if you are."

"Should be." he said with a shrug, "Unless the bosslady's got me out on an errand."

"Good," she smiled, smoothing out her dress. "I do weekly checkups on everyone, and now you're included in that list. As a favor to Petit, of course."
