Who: Sadako Yamamura and Bela Talbot-Winchester.
What: Sadako helping out.
When: Monday afternoon.
Where: Dean and Bela's house.
Warnings: Mild swearing, nothing else.

Sadako kissed Tej on the forehead and told him she was going to go check in on someone, that she'd be home in time for supper. He was the most capable child she'd ever met, so she knew it was okay to leave him alone.

Slipping into a pair of white ballet flats that matched her light spring dress, Sadako shut and locked the door behind her. They were in the middle of moving,so there were more boxes in the Oshima home than anything else, but she still liked to be careful. Navigating the snowy streets, she made it to the portkey. Sadako didn't get cold, and she ignored people's stares and startled whispers.

Upon arrival in London, she walked quickly to Bela's home. She knew of its location from when she had met Robert at Mordhaus, and in little time she was knocking on the front door.

Bela had been lying on the couch when the knock sounded. She got up and went to open it, nodding when she saw the Asian lady from the boards on the step. "Please, come in, it's cold. Can I get you anything?" Her last message had been unsettling, to say the least, but perhaps the woman's English was imperfect.

Sadako bowed her head slightly, moving inside and slipping off her shoes. "I don't really feel the cold as most do." She smiled a little at the woman, reaching out to touch her forearm. "Mrs. Winchester, I promise you, you will come to no harm with me." No sooner than her second word was spoken, Bela would come to feel no pain. "Allergies. Would you like to be rid of those as well?"

Bela blinked, raising an eyebrow, but unsure how to reply. She didn't sense anything horribly dangerous, just something ... unusual. "Have I met you somewhere before, ma'am?" If she had, her memory was clearly bad; she didn't remember meeting anyone who looked like this. Why it raised her hackles slightly, she had no idea. Perhaps she'd simply met a mutual friend who knew the Winchester family.

Still, there was no reason to be outwardly alarmed, at least not right now. Healers existed here. "Allergies? No idea I had them." She decided, for some reason, to choose her words carefully. "How is it possible to tell the difference between that and a cold, if I may?"

"You and I have not met personally, but I am known to your son." She smiled and moved to sit down on the sofa, ankles crossed primly. She wore no stockings, even though she was wearing such a light dress.

She smiled at Bela, aware of her fear. She was used to it. "You have none of the germs that come with a cold, but you do have increased histamines. If I had to guess, it would be mold. Heating systems do that."

"Ah, I see. I'm afraid I've not heard your name, I'm sorry; I don't mean to be rude." Bela revised her assessment; the woman's English was extremely good. Perhaps she was simply ... off.

As for the explanation about allergies, Bela couldn't help but be curious. "You clearly have extraordinary gifts. Perhaps I'll speak to my husband about checking this place." She smiled a tiny bit, trying to be at least polite. She was never sure how to speak to someone with unusual powers - to not discuss it seemed obtuse; to discuss it seemed intrusive.

Sadako smiled sweetly. "You may ask," she shrugged. She was okay with people being curious.

From down the hall, she could hear dog nails on wood, followed by a louder, more human sound. "Dokodoko!" Robbie grinned and went up to hug her, kissing her on the cheek. "I didn't know you know Mum!"

Bela blinked again, watching her son. "Hello, darling. She's been good enough to come help with my migraine." 'Dokodoko' couldn't really be her name, but at least it was proof that Robbie knew her and trusted her.

"Oh, headaches are no fun. She's helped me a bunch of times." Robbie made Roxy sit around company, and Sadako couldn't help cooing at it in rapidfire Japanese, still her preferred language, even though she'd replaced someone who was fluent in English as well. "My name is Sadako. Torii and CV insist on calling me that, and it's rubbed off on Robert."

"Ah. A pleasure." Bela watched Roxy, smiling indulgently. So the lady was Japanese - she could at least distinguish the language. "Do you mind the nickname?" She shot a sidelong glance at her son - Hopefully Sadako didn't in fact object; Robbie knew better than to be outright rude.

"I like having people familiar enough with me to use a nickname. The children are welcome to use it it's fine." She smiled and shook her head. She was aware of her age, even if she forgot that other people weren't.

Bela didn't pry - it would have been rude - but 'children'? The lady didn't look much past her own age. She settled for a truism. "You look as young as I do, if not younger. I'm almost twenty-five." She saw Roxy lay down, narrowly missing a few pairs of feet.

"Physically, I'm nineteen. Technically, I'm... " She had to pause to think. "In my seventies." Robbie smiled and carefully set Princess into Sadako's lap, earning a smile from the woman.

"Ah, I see." That might explain the slightly 'off' feeling. Bela laughed, though, as Princess was placed with the visitor. "If you've never met her, fair warning; she likes to braid hair."

"Oh, I love my hair braided!" She beamed down at the box. "I leave myself in your capable hands." She sat up a little straighter, trying not to giggle as she was climbed.

"Robbie must have told you about her; most visitors to our house tend to jump six feet when they see her." Bela patted Princess with the grain as the box climbed to the back of the couch. "She's harmless and quite kind, unless you poke her in the eyes - the red jewels on top. Apparently, according to my husband, she belonged to Da Vinci."

"Most ladies dislike being manhandled, I've found." She winked at Princess. Sadako knew firsthand what she did with unwanted touching. "Robert's very fond of you, Mrs. Winchester." Sadako smiled, hands in her lap.

Bela smiled as Princess started to braid the thick Asian hair. "Don't pull," she warned the box before replying. "At the risk of sounding like a cliche, he's a good boy. He simply showed up at the door one day, as you can imagine, and he's never given me cause to be anything but happy to have him." She adored her firstborn; it was likely obvious.

Robbie sighed, chuckling. "I'll leave so you two can talk about me without worrying about me being in the room." He stuck out his tongue at his mother before moving to hug her and kiss her cheek. Sadako beamed, still perfectly still.

"Brat." It was indulgent, even fond. Bela turned back to Sadako as her son headed upstairs. "I don't know if you've met my daughters, but they're just as sarcastic. It's a Winchester family trait, I think. You'd mentioned you know Ceevee well?" She was curious. She still hadn't seen her (ohdeargod) granddaughter yet.

"Yes. Her mother is my son's sister." She smiled a little. "I'm Teja's mother. Well, not by birth, but I raised him." She didn't feel Princess tugging, because she seldom allowed herself to feel any pain anyway.

"Ah! I know now who you are. Lulu is a dear friend of mine." Bela nodded, recalling Lulu explaining about Teja and his mother in France. "I'm sorry I didn't recall, Miss Yamamura." Best to be polite. "I'm afraid I've never met Teja, but Robbie speaks well of him."

Sadako nodded, beaming. "I love my son very much, but I'm aware that people have diverging opinions of him. Either they love them, or they can't stand him. I think I'm very much the same way." She shrugged, but only a bit, as to not interrupt Princess.

"Oh?" She wouldn't presume to pry, but the way the other woman said she could 'understand' being loved or hated ... it seemed sad, somehow. Then again, it had been how Bela herself was in her other world. It had a different connotation when one couldn't afford friends.

Sadako almost didn't want to say anything. "Where I come from, I'm somewhat of of a ... colorful character. I'd do a web search of my name if you really want to know." She'd leave it up to Bela.

"I'm sure it's none of my business. I've just felt the same way at times, is all." She wasn't quite sure why she felt compelled to share even that much, but the Japanese lady just seemed ... open without being open, if that wasn't completely mad.

Thankfully, Princess saved the awkward moment by slipping off the back of the couch. "Whups." Bela picked the box up and set her back on her perch, and Princess gave a thumbs up. Bela had to chuckle.

"I'm sure everyone has." Sadako moved forward a little after Princess' fall, smiling a little bit at her. "Leather isn't your friend, you're so shiny." She was grateful that Bela didn't pry. "I know you're curious. I'm not really magic, per se. I'm psychic, but my mother was as well. The village liked to say she made me with a god, but I don't believe that."

Princess let her hand rest on Sadako's hair, and Bela had to smile; it looked for all the world as if the box was patting the human. "I had wondered if you were psychic," Bela said carefully, "when you seemed to know things about me that I'd not told you. But most readers I've encountered are more sinned against than sinning. Robbie's likely mentioned what our family does, or did."

Sadako nodded. "While I'm quite capable against any human, against anything that isn't, I'm about as weak as I look. Thank you very much for all you do for everyone. I'm Dethklok's healer, but since Robbie's married into the family - or will - my services are yours as well."

"I appreciate it, but we're lucky enough where it's not normally necessary. I don't say that to spurn the generosity," Bela added hastily - she had an idea of what it meant to offer a gift in Japanese culture - "but we just don't hunt as much as we used to; there's less need."

"Whenever there is need." Sadako nodded a little at Bela, as if to indicate that migraines constituted one of those needs. "I enjoy not treating the traumatic injuries as much as I enjoy treating the large ones."

"You do enjoy it?" Bela cocked her head to one side. "I am glad to hear that ... I don't know, if I had that sort of gift I would imagine it would get tiresome for everyone who knew to keep begging you for help." She smiled, still a bit unsure of what to say, but at least trying to not stick her nose where it didn't belong.

"It does not take much effort," she smiled. "I heal using my psychic abilities, so it is not hard. It simply is a thought I have, and then the person is better. Resurrection, however, that takes effort."

All Bela said was, "I would imagine so," but in side she couldn't help but think on everything. If she could have been brought back after a deal for the Pit. If someone had been able to bring Sam back after he'd died, instead of the bloody Crossroads demon. It would have saved Dean so much pain.

Her eyes closed. "I would hope you don't have occasion to exercise that skill very often."

Sadako didn't have to be psychic to see that Bela was upset. "No members of your family are dying here. Not again." She hadn't meant to pry, but Bela's thoughts had been so vivid, almost impossible to ignore. "Only ... four times, I believe?" She cocked her head. "I don't recall. It's mostly inconvenient, really."

She didn't blame Sadako; a psychic would probably get migraines herself spending too long in the Winchester house. "I hope you don't have to sacrifice yourself or something of the kind." Bela managed a small smile. "You're clearly very much liked and appreciated."
