As soon as Cass emerged from the kitchen, one glance at him told Abby that he was likely to be her kind of person. Of course, she already knew that he, like her, was of a scientific mind but she also knew that wasn't always enough to make people similar enough to like one another. But between the cookie-smell, the charmingly eclectic feel to the house and the fact that at least one of the residents seemed to be at least somewhat like her was definitely enough to make Abby feel that she had made the right decision in coming.
Accepting the offered hand, Abby smiled and replied, "Cass, hi. It's nice to meet you...properly...again. Even though I have no memories of having ever met you before...do you suppose this is what amnesia feels like?" Not, of course, that Abby would ever compare her current situation to any situation that resulted in absolute memory loss, but there were times when her mind would go off on tangents and she didn't always have the filter required to stop herself from saying these things aloud. Danger of a curious mind, she supposed.
Nodding as Cass mentioned the other two residents of the house, Abby couldn't help but grin to herself at the prospect of meeting someone who apparently looked like her. And the fact that Henn had used the banister to get downstairs just made Abby like her all the more already. Even so, when she finally came face to face with her "face twin", Abby couldn't hide the brief moment of shock as she registered that when Cass had said his wife looked like her, he meant they were practically identical save for the eyes, which in Henn's case were like no eyes Abby had ever seen before.
Abby being Abby, though, it didn't take long for the shock to wear off as Henn launched into a rapid-fire babble that Abby couldn't help but relate to since, well, she supposed it was a lot like hearing what she herself sounded like at times. With a wide grin as Henn concluded her ramble, Abby replied, "Hi, you must be Henn! Yes, I would be the new Abby. Not that I really knew there was an old Abby until very recently, or that it was possible to be de-vortexed, though it had crossed my mind that if we're here replacing people, does that mean they replace us too and could we swap back and you probably don't need to hear my theories right now." Pausing to collect her thoughts slightly, she continued, "No, Cass never mentioned any mombly-jumble energy thing. Or, well, he did mention something along those lines but not really very much. But it sounds awesome, however it works."
As she had conversed with Henn, Abby had made her way slowly towards the kitchen, the lure of cookies too tempting to resist. Before she could really do or say much else, the third and final human (or at least, humanoid) member of the household ran into the room, preceded by the two dogs Abby had heard earlier. With a grin at his greeting question, Abby nodded and replied, "And you must be Soren. I mean, unless there's a secret fourth person living here that I don't yet know about. Or a not-secret fourth person that I just didn't consider." Stopping herself before she ran off on another random tangent, she walked over to the counter and took one of the cookies, turning back to address Henn and Soren as she asked, "So, are you both from this universe too?" Not that she supposed it really mattered, but Abby was becoming more and more curious about her new world, how it operated and how long it had been in existence. And she was very much looking forward to getting to know her three potential new friends.
