Well, Anne couldn't (and wouldn't) have that. Mostly because she quite enjoyed watching Kitt squirm after the worry he'd put her through with that vampire thing. Of course, to put Kitt through torture was to torture Sam, so she had to rethink her strategy.
After another sip of wine, she handwaved the dinner off the table. "No one's hungry, I see." Propping her elbows on the table, she put her chin in her hand and eyed Sam with a sweet look. "Darling, he does care for her." And I love you. "If he causes her harm, I'll hold him down while you get to play with your big guns."
Then she turned her look on Kitt. "I don't believe you'll hurt her. I know you don't have a truly menacing bone in your body, as it stands in this form. Hearts break far more easily, but she's a strong young woman from what I've seen, and despite recent events, I do trust you." Hopefully, the smile she gave him went a small way toward easing his fear of her. And of Sam.
Alexandra chose that moment to break in. "Now that you're done talking about me like I'm not here, can I take Kitt OUT for dessert? I hope you're done terrorizing him."
