Ronia was doing well enough, for being almost two decades out of place, give or take, and she was even doing alright with the fact that her daughter, who should be about three, was closer to thirty, older than Ronia was now, and had kids of her own.

At that particular moment she was in the kitchen, making herself a snack. Artan hadn't been overestimating his skill with a needle, and the stitches in her side that had torn when she'd arrived were re-done and covered with a bandage, the edge of it just visible under the hem of her shirt when she moved.

She was making a sandwich, meat and cheese and meat again on bread, no condiments because they just got in the way as far as she was concerned. She was barefoot and hardly even had to duck to see into the fridge to put things away.
