In a perfect world, one which was neither this one or his own, because neither of them were perfect, Kurt would have been able to answer that question without even thinking about it. But as it was, he tended to ask himself why he got Puck a gift for Christmas in the first place. The idiot surely didn't deserve one from him, and he had even questioned Callie a bit when she got him one.
And then there was the apparent assumption on Puck's part. Kurt couldn't help making a face of disgust at that one. "God no, plus a side order of ew with that one." He scrunched his nose a bit. "And I don't know why I got you anything. I probably just felt sorry for you and the fact that here, you're just as big of a loser as the rest of us." Or the fact that even though Callie was there, Kurt knew that wasn't the same as having family he'd grown up with. Kurt knew it sucked to suddenly have no one.
