"You know better than that." She was still looking at him. It didn't matter that he wasn't looking at her, she didn't need him to. He knew what he was doing was wrong, but he was determined to see it through. What he was doing wasn't sacrifice to save others, it was sacrifice to numb the pain he was feeling.
