Who: Dream and Candy
What: A proposal, of sorts
Warnings: Probably none.

Over the past months, Dream had been building a new wing on his palace. Muse's rooms had been demolished long ago when she spurned him, wiped completely out of existence. The new configuration was unique not only in architecture, but in content as well. While he could not perfectly recreate the Abarat, he brought in aspects of the different islands, different memories that Candy had, and wove them together. His hope was to give Candy pieces of her old life without making her homesick. He had spent much time and focus on the building, and had not yet revealed it to Candy. It would be his gift for her tonight.

After surveying the rooms one last time, Morpheus returned to his main hall to await Candy's arrival. He was hardly nervous, but he understood that a great deal turned on this moment. He let his thoughts turn to Nada, remembering the deep anguish she had caused him when she turned him down, as well as the harsh punishment he had imposed on her. He regretted that now, and had learned from it. Though the pain may cut deeply, he would not allow himself to exact the same sentence on Candy.

He sat on his throne, ruminating as he waited.
